Park is nice with all concrete and level sites, but sites do not fit big rigs very well and the trucks to pull them. Parking is an issue with notes on your car and threats that they will tow them away; yet there is no parking. Other than that and some families that have uncontrolled kids that run through your spot all the time, park is nice. Some staff is friendly and helpful while other staff is rude. I would stay here again as it is one of the nicer parks in the area, but there are some improvements that need to be done. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned everyday, and the pool was nice and cool. Also laundry is always crowded so be aware you may have to wait to get a machine or go somewhere else. Park is right next to all your shopping needs, so you never even really have to drive anywhere!
We stayed here for a week while visiting Humble. It is very close to Humble and Kingwood, but you have the country feel. The sites are huge and roomy. This is a family run park and they take pride in the park and how nice it is. The park has a small lake you can fish from and ducks that roam. Our kids loved feeding the ducks and being able to run around at the playground and nature trails. They also have a huge, nice rec room. Laundry room was spotless and roomy with a book exchange, magazine area, and movie exchange. Park is quiet and very clean. Wi-fi worked well. I would definitely recommend this park in the hotter weather with all of the shade trees. If you ever have any questions the people are friendly and helpful. It is just a few minutes to the grocery store and shopping. We do not have 1 bad thing to say about this park.
This is a wonderful newer park right outside of town about 2 miles. You are surrounded by trees and it is quiet! We travel with three kids ages 8 and younger. The park is kid friendly with a nice, small playground. The swimming pool was nice and they had a shallow one foot deep small area connected to the bigger pool for the little ones to play in. The bathrooms were spotless. When we arrived the staff was friendly and helpful. The sites are huge with paved roads throughout. Definitely would stay here again!
Park is in a nice side of town and newer. It has nice pool, laundry and bathrooms. The downside is the train and highway noise. All night long you hear trucks and motorcycles roaring by as if they are on the race track. You also have quite a few cars with loud stereos that vibrate you inside. The train comes in as well. The people are not friendly and or helpful. They seem to be at an inconvenience when you ask them anything. We were looking at staying for 2 months but only stayed a month and moved to another park. The Wi-Fi is horrible and doesn't work 1/2 the time. The sites are big, but pea gravel like cat litter. So when they water the grass it gets on the gravel and then it is like having cat litter in your house all the time even if you take off your shoes. They also do not allow you to get mail here. They wanted me to go open a post office box for just the 2 months we would be staying. For the price of this park: there are other decent parks for quite a bit cheaper, which are just as good with most of the same amenities. I wouldn't stay here again since there are other nice parks close by with the same amenities, and several hundred cheaper parks.
For the small town of Bandera this is a really nice park close to town and it is quiet. The lady that works there is super friendly and helpful. The sites are large with gravel and level. They also have a little concrete pad for each site and a picnic table.
Decent park but needs numerous upgrades and updates. The water most of the time is orange from the old rusty tank. You complain and they say just to run the water for a while instead of fixing the problems. Laundry room, and bathrooms with showers are nice but hot since the AC doesn't work and they don't want to fix it apparently. Ant beds are terrible and they do not treat them. Also the pool is dirty a lot from not being cleaned out. People in the office are friendly but the owner doesn't want to fix things up right. There are no kids allowed over the age of 5.
The park is an old KOA, but has been kept very clean. The facilities need to be updated some, but like I said, they were clean. The owner is there most days, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We visited for a month, and it was a safe quiet place. The spots are roomy and grassy. We checked out all the other RV parks in the area, and this was the best place by far to stay.
We stayed here for 4 months and the rate is based on the monthly rate of $1000 a month. The park is clean and well maintained. Everyone is friendly and more than willing to give suggestions of where to eat, shop, etc. Every spot has some kind of fruit tree that you can pick from. The facilities are well maintained and always clean. The washroom was huge and everything works well. We would definitely visit and stay here again. The park is kid friendly. In the surrounding area of Orange, Anaheim and the beach this is the nicest park around.
We stayed here for 3 weeks. The rate was $28.00 a night for the weekly rate and with the Good Sam Member discount. The park was spotless. Each spot has concrete and is level. There is also a picnic table and nice sized grass area for each site. You can walk right down to the river to feed the geese and fish. There is no playground for kids, but there is a huge field with horseshoes and volleyball net that the kids can run around at. Park staff is very friendly. I would definitely stay here again as the park was not crowded so they did not put guests right next to each other. The sites are also huge and roomy.
