We stayed here for 5 months. The park is in an excellent location. Access to I-25 is only about 2 blocks away and there are two casinos just minutes away. The price we paid monthly did include electricity. The park was being upgraded by the new owner during our entire stay. The park does offer a view of the Sandia Mountains, has plenty of shade trees, a pool, a cafe, cabins, pancake breakfasts, play areas for children and dancing every Friday and Saturday. This is a FUN place to be and if a bit of noise made by people having a great time bothers you than you might want to consider another RV park. We found the sites to be very adequate for our needs with plenty of space for our car. This is a very clean park. The hardworking staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. The day we were leaving we discovered that we had a flat tire. The owner and two other staff members spent 2 hours in the heat helping us put the spare on our RV so that we could get to a garage to have the tire replaced. The owner and staff are great, the location is great and I would have given this park a ten if the pool hours and laundry hours were extended. Both close too early. Having stayed in all of the parks in Albuquerque and surrounding areas, this is the best park overall. We will definitely be staying at this park again in the future.
We tried to camp here in our 32 foot motorhome. Our intention was to stay for a month which explains the nightly rate we entered. We requested a site for a month and the receptionist stated that they had some sites open. However, we were asked the age of our motorhome and stated that it was a 1994 model. We were then told that the park would only accept recreational vehicles no older than 1996, regardless of the size of the vehicle. We have a lovely, well-maintained Motorhome that has drawn positive comments from other park owners. The receptionist was apologetic but stated that this was the owner's policy. We prefer our older motorhome over the newer ones and feel that the owner of this park is very discriminatory even though he is from another country. We are writing this review to warn other RV folks not to bother to even try to get a site here if you aren't driving something newer than a 1996 model.
This is a terrific park. This family-owned park is very clean, attractive, has great laundry facilities (24/7) and a really nice gift shop. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of large shade trees, a pool, showers and propane is available on site. Some of the spaces had walls separating them with an attractive concrete patio area with built-in barbeque. The WI FI signal was not the best but a good constant signal could be picked up in the laundry room, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We don't know about cable or telephone hook-ups as we don't use them. The park was not difficult to find as there is a sign on the main highway. This park was quiet, restful and quite attractive with the park located just at the base of the mountains. What was especially refreshing about this park is that they made no claims to be anything but what they actually were. We will definitely stay at this wonderful park again in the future.
This campground is a wonderful place to stay! We ended up staying at this park for two months and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners and all of the staff members were super friendly and very helpful. The sites were very nice and had lovely trees. We didn't expect much grass as the park is located in the desert. However, there are beautiful cacti, flowers and even a grape arbor. There are plenty of activities going on during the week including movies, breakfasts, campfire marshmallow roasts, a very nice gift store, an indoor swimming pool, a children's playground and much more! The owners kept the grounds and all of the facilities very clean. Many new improvements were added to the park during our stay. The park is very convenient to the City of Carlsbad and the area attractions. This park is very quiet and we would definitely stay there again!
