Beautiful, tranquil setting along a narrow section of the Broad River. We camped in a 26' Toyhauler and backed up to awesome views of the river with huge boulders and the sounds of running water for 4 glorious days and 3 nights. The entrance and roads can be tough to negotiate in a larger RV and there are only a couple of sites which will accommodate them. Mostly permanent sites on one side of the campground and just a handful of sites for tag a longs. Quite a few tent sites and one cabin with a bathroom. Very, very nice owners and clean bathrooms and showers. A great place to go to chill out and just enjoy the surroundings. Definitely going back!
Nice campground and even though there is a highway nearby, after 6PM the traffic noise falls off significantly. We had a gravel site near the highway which was shaded and found it to be fine. The site was very roomy and un-cramped with our awning out. Our lounging area was on a bit of a slope but it worked out. There were other, more level sites towards the back of the campground with concrete pads which were a little tight with their awnings out and you would have to unload your bike before you back in. We were in a 26' Toyhauler, stayed for 5 nights, and had plenty of room to drop the back and unload the motorcycle. Yes they are allowed just watch your speed going in and out. 5 MPH max! Very nice staff and general store and pool. Very clean campground. If you like to run, the campground is a big ( 1/2 mile apprx) up and down circle. Some sections are gravel so we headed out of the campground, took a right and after negotiating just one major highway intersection found a sidewalk all the way down into the cute little town area. Nice run about 3 miles down to the city and 3 back. Campground is superb location within 45 minutes to Luray Caverns (awesome) and vineyards. There is a Campers World nearby but ask directions or Google them because there isn't one sign posted. Overall a very nice experience. We would go back for sure.
