This was a very nice city park in a nice, clean small town. Sites were very well maintained with a friendly, local staff on site. A nice city-owned 9 hole golf course borders the RV park, as well as a city baseball diamond. Regular games are scheduled there, with the resulting noise and lights, but it is not excessive and ends early. The swimming pool is a city pool, located about a block from the RV park. We loved this place for it's beauty and quiet.
This place has all the amenities, but is in a generally run down condition. Roadways were poorly maintained with many bumps and potholes. It was a weekend and vehicles were everywhere, making it difficult to traverse to/from our site. Rest rooms and laundry facilities were dirty and in poor shape. Hookups were not well marked and disorganized and we found that we were overlapping other peoples' cables and hoses to get to one that was accessible. We never did find a sewer hookup. We had problems with consistent power output.
We camped here for several nights with our grandson. The campground has exceptional swimming and play areas, including an immaculate wading pool for little children. However, they are at one end of the campground, which is long and narrow, so your site could be a long way away. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the store was well stocked, including much information about places to visit in the area. We enjoyed the campground and would definitely return there if we are in the area.
