Beware!!!! Web site does not inform you that Labor Day or after Labor Day week-end there is absolutely nothing to do. The pool, even though stated indoor, and everything else is closed throughout the week with the exception of the camp store. "BORING" and over-priced for this time of the year for no activities.
Typical KOA with narrow sites on sand and grit. No concrete slabs. Enough room for awning and car and right up against next motorhome. Camp store was very clean and well-stocked and support staff was very friendly. The island decor theme covered up the need for some TLC (maintenance). Laundry facility was not very well-maintained with some machines not working and not very clean. Cost per night was way over-priced and extra charged for the third person in our motorhome who happened to be permanently disabled.
We have been camping since 1972 and this was by far the most beautiful of all. This was truly a first-class resort. The three, well-kept pools and hot tubs are beautiful with the main pool over-flowing unto a sand beach by the lake. The main recreation center has an exercise room, theater, pool table room, and dining and meeting room. Landscaping and the entire facility is absolutely stunning. Laundry facilities were very clean and the entire area was very well maintained. Support-staff was very friendly. One can feel totally safe in this gated and guarded resort. Loved it!
Way Way too over-priced! Jammed in like sardines in a can. The only thing exciting about this was we had an oceanview which cost way too much. Nothing to do besides the beach and the only provided shade was a naked palm tree between each site. Laundry facilities were unclean, however the store was well-stocked. I would not call this a Resort, by far. A camp town possibly!
Nice sites with large cement pads, and beautiful mature oak and palm trees along with picturesque views. Nicely landscaped in between sites with plenty of room between you and your neighbor. Office staff was very friendly. Landry facilities are not very clean with only four washers and dryers. People were washing dog blankets, etc. leaving the washers with quite a bit of dog hair. Perhaps the management should place signs in violation of pet use which is very unfair and unsanitary to others.
