Excellent campground. We paid for concrete slab site, so a little more expensive than some of the others, but we enjoy this type of a site. Friendly staff. Were shown to our site. Well stocked store. Landscaped sites. Lots of trees. Wi-Fi works great, and there were a lot of Cable TV channels.
We have stayed here several times and will continue to return whenever in this area. Great, friendly, and helpful staff. Concrete, level slabs. Great full hookups. Good WIFI, and a good number of Cable TV channels. A good campground.
We "love" this campground!! Friendly staff. Clean restrooms and showers. Concrete, level sites with working hookups. We have stayed here before, but will make sure that we plan any future trips through Texas, to include this campground.
The office personnel very friendly and helpful. The restrooms and laundry room very, very clean, so the person doing the cleaning is excellent. However, there are only four washers and four dryers (very old) and there should be more for the size of this campground. The sites are long, dirt, and when it rained there was mainly just mud. The Wi-Fi and cable TV great. We probably would not stay here, again, due to all of the dust.
This is an excellent, beautiful campground. The long concrete slabs are level, and there is plenty of space between sites. Office staff very friendly. We plan to stay only at this campground when in this area. Much, much better than most campgrounds.
This is one dusty place. The sites are gravel and long but the one we were in was not level. The TV cable was not working, but the WiFi was good, most of the time. Probably would not stay here again, unless just too tired to continue our trip. I had enough points for a free night, but they only gave us $10.00 off, and that is reason for the rate of $19.00. Otherwise would have been more. The two ladies in the office are friendly and nice.
We liked this campground. Owners and office personnel were very friendly and helpful. We wanted a back-in with the concrete patio, which also gave us a view of the beautiful mountains behind. We would definitely stay here, again. This is a good campground!!
We enjoyed staying at this campground. Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent Laundry facility with new machines that work. Grounds landscaped beautifully. Close to town so we could walk in to a restaurant. Will definitely stay here when in the area. Sites are gravel but level.
We have stayed at this campground many times and will return whenever in Cody, but was a little disappointed this time, because when I called in March, was told the campground would open April 15th. Well, when we arrived on April 19th, it was not really open nor operating. There was a sign on the door that it was open, but due to the cold weather no water available (which we understand) but just feel we should have been told that was a possibility. However, loved the location and will definitely stay here again when in Cody. We used the hose (when it was not frozen) to fill our tank in the camper. Next time, we will wait until possibly the month of May to plan our trip here.
We enjoyed staying at this campground, and our only complaint is that some people just let their dog run free, "doing its business" on other people's site, and did not clean up. So, the owners just need to be aware of this. The sites are gravel, but level. Showers, bathrooms and laundry clean. There is a beautiful view of the mountains. We would stay here again, if in the area. We do enjoy TV for news, etc., which we could not get, but understand why it is not available.
When we arrived for the night, there was 2 feet of snow, which made setting up difficult. The staff was friendly and helpful. Gravel site, but level. WI-FI was fair, but it was so cold, and that may have been the problem. Cable TV good. We would stay here again.
The staff very helpful and friendly. We were a long way from the office and the Wi-Fi was excellent and fast. The sites are gravel but level. Lots of cable TV channels. We would definitely stay here again. It is near an airport, but no problem with noise.
We love being at this campground because it is so convenient to the shuttle buses that take you every place (free) that you want to go and see. It is all well organized so the shuttle buses run on time. This is the 4th time we have stayed here. It would be good to have laundry facility, but other than that, it is a good place to stay.
This is not a bad campground for an overnight, but I would not want to stay here for very long. Wash is $2.50 and dry $1.50, but the 3 washers and 4 dryers did work very well. The Wi-Fi is TengoInternet, and does work fine, but if you have an Apple product, e.g., iPhone or iPad, with the Wi-Fi here, you can't use it. The staff are helpful and friendly. Had trouble with TV connections, but finally got that to work.
This is a great campground, with excellent staff. The sites are gravel but long and level. The restrooms, game room, as well as the laundry facility spotless. We decided to stay here at the last minute and so glad we did. We would stay here, again, if in the area.
The rate is Passport America. We enjoyed staying at this campground. Friendly staff. There are several dogs, but if someone rescued them that is all right with us. The sites are dirt. The Wi-Fi was free and worked great!
We have stayed here many times before and like the concrete level pads, cable TV, and just the location. However, this time we found no one in the office, and the posted sites listed on the door, had 3-4 people in the same sites. Needs to return to being run efficiently.
This is a good campground with very friendly owners. The sites are gravel, but our Site #23 was level and the hookups worked great with very good WIFI and lots of cable TV channels. We will stay here again when in the area. The trains did not bother us.
We stayed here our first time, but it will not be our last if we continue to make trips across Texas. Great staff, level pull thru sites, clean restrooms, and the only thing we missed was cable TV since our camper does not have a good antenna. But no TV is really no big deal when you find a good campground.
We have stayed here many times and do like this clean, concrete level pads as well as the Passport rate, but when they advertise WIFI that does not work at all, it is disappointing. However, we will stay here again when in the area.
We have stayed here many times, but back again. The concrete slabs or pads are level. The Wi-Fi worked better than the last time. The cable TV has lots of channels. We enjoy going to the Casino for lunch, but do not actually gamble, but the campground would be an excellent location, if we did. It is clean and there is security, which is important to us.
We have stayed at this park before and liked it, so returned on our way back home this year. The bathrooms/showers (only 2) are very clean. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers, but seems to be enough for the people staying here. The sites are concrete and level. The office is only open early morning, and again late afternoon, but instructions for choosing a site, etc. are clearly posted on the office door.
This is a fairly new RV park, and it is terrific!! Good, level, concrete slab with full hookups. Beautifully landscaped. Our first time here, but we will be returning to this park whenever in this area of Texas. It is two miles south of I-20, Exit 591. Good location.
Nice campground. Some sites with lots of shade. Gravel sites, but level. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good Wi-Fi. Did not miss not having Cable TV, just read book instead. We definitely will stay here again.
We have stayed here before and like this campground. I requested the same site as before, but the gravel must have shifted because it was not level this time. Excellent staff. Very clean restrooms and showers. We will always stay at this KOA when in Douglas. It is quiet and well run by the owners and staff.
We love this campground and always stay here when in Cody. It is convenient to town and all of the attractions, as well as many restaurants. We always request the same site, which has a concrete slab, and it is level. However, have stayed in the gravel sites and they are level, also. The laundry/bathrooms/showers are all clean. This is a family run campground. Excellent!
Would not stay here again. Very old place. Very rundown, even though the restrooms and showers have been updated. There are a lot of trees, but some of them are dead, and others are diseased. When the wind blew (and it always blows in Wyoming) it is scary. The lady who owns the campground was very friendly and nice. They are doing construction on Hwy 26 and it is very difficult to find the entrance, plus the noise of all of the machinery (and dust). $36 is way too expensive, too. Plus if you want TV that is an additional $2.00/night.
We like this campground. This is our 5th time to stay here, and probably for some the sites are a bit tight and difficult to get in, especially if a motorhome or larger RV, but for us it is perfect. It is convenient to town and several restaurants that we enjoy. The Cable TV is excellent, and they now have WiFi with a strong signal. Friendly staff! The sites are gravel and not totally level, but, again, we do like staying here. Only reason for a 9 is that sites do not have concrete pads. We always stay in Site #14.
Only reason for not giving it a 10/10 is even though the sites are level, they are not concrete. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this KOA. We stayed here (2009) before these new owners bought it, but it is the same great campground. Great location!
Great campground. We were in Fort Collins for a CSU graduation, and this was very convenient. Friendly Staff. We chose one of the more expensive camp sites (one on the Lake), but loved it! Will return when in the area. The site was concrete but not totally level and that is the reason for the 9 instead of all 10.
This is our 4th time to stay here. Love this campground. Concrete level sites. The Wi-Fi did not work as well from site #36 as #5, but maybe it was due to something that cannot be fixed. The free continental breakfast is excellent! Will return here any time in Beaumont. Our rate was a Passport Rate.
The people who own this campground (and motel) are friendly and great. Our site was gravel, but level with full hookups. The Wi-Fi worked better than any place we have stayed on this May 2011 trip and lots of Cable TV channels. We will definitely return to this campground and the restaurant is excellent, also.
This is our first time here, but will not be our last. The restrooms/showers were the best we have ever seen. Long concrete, level sites with full hookups. Cable and Wi-Fi worked great. Beautifully landscaped!
We have been on the road for 6 1/2 weeks, and this is the best campground by far, that we have stayed in during this time. Level, concrete slabs, full hookups, great, strong WiFi, lots of cable TV channels, friendly, helpful owner. Can't say enough about this campground, but when in the area, we will be back.
We were in Site #11 and it was fairly level. It was not concrete slab but gravel. The Wi-Fi works great as well as the Cable TV. The owners or people in the office were very friendly and helpful. There is construction on 70th Street which does make getting in the park a little difficult, at the moment, but not the Park's fault. We would camp here again. We had a reservation, and it was needed.
This is a beautiful park and convenient to Wal-Mart if you need anything while on a trip. Our site #48 was a combination of grass and gravel, but level. We chose a site with Wi-Fi, vs Cable TV, (it is either/or as they evidently do not have sites with WiFi and Cable TV, which is absolutely fine with us) and the Wi-Fi worked very well. Our only complaint had to do with the people in the office. I assume they were the owners but can't be sure, because they were so "not" friendly. She checked us in, and then said, "My husband will show you to your site." Which he did. There were lots of picnic tables all around, several on some sites, but none at our site. We asked if we could have one, and the "husband" said, "I don't like for people to move the tables but I will get you one." He did a little while later, but, again, never said a word when we thanked him. I know that dealing with people is not easy, and some campers are very difficult, but we had not asked for anything that the other sites did not already have, and we had planned on cooking out. However, even though they were so grouchy we would stay here, again, if in the area, because it is a pretty park.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. WiFi is great as well as the TV. Site was level, but it is just dust and dirt even though we did have one small tree. We were in site #13, up front, so maybe some of the back sites are better. Convenient for the sites. Good overnight stop, but would not want to stay here for very long because of the dust.
Excellent campground. Sites are gravel, but level. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean restrooms. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Only reason for 9/10 is the sites are gravel, but we had some beautiful shade trees and enjoyed our stay.
This is a great RV Park. Clean bathrooms and showers. Clean laundry with all working machines. Clean and well maintained grounds. Level site. We will definitely come back to this campground. The only reason not 10/10 is the sites are gravel and level but not concrete slab. Also great Staff.
This is our 6th time to stay in this park, but will not our last. We like the convenience of this park (within walking distance to the little town of Cody, the museum, restaurants, etc.) The owners are terrific! The sites are level with some of them concrete slab. We have been in Site #55 for the last three years. The only complaint that we have is that some people do not pick up after their pet makes a mess. No fault of the owners of the Park, but the idiot campers who think rules are for other people not them. If you own a pet: be considerate and either leave them at home. Keep the campgrounds in better shape for others.
I am going to begin with a little background of the people who own a truck/camper, but not allowed to stay in the concrete slab/level sites that are located on the upper level in this park. I am a Retired United States Navy Commander (22 years) and retired Airline Pilot (34 1/2 years), and do not want to own a Class A or even Class C. However, I do have enough in checking account to purchase one, if I wanted one I do not. We enjoy the size of a truck/camper and "most" campgrounds allow you to stay in sites you are willing to pay the price. Not this one! We will not stay here nor will we recommend it to any of our friends (and most do own truck/campers). Our site was dirt and gravel, and even though "down below" the concrete slab sites, it was level. The picnic table was old and in bad shape, and the 30 amp had very low voltage or amps.
This is one of the worse campgrounds we have ever stayed in. To begin with, I made a reservation way back in July, knowing that I would need to stop here on Sept 17th, and had received an e-mail confirmation that we had a reservation. NOT! From experience, I always bring any confirmation that I have received, so when they stated that we did not have a reservation, I simply showed them the e-mail from the campground. Next, they do show you to your site, which is nothing but dirt and dust, no grass or very little, and they put us way in the back (Site #83) where all of the permanent trailer people are located. Now I noticed up nearer the front, the sites were much better. The WiFi (called premier, their words) did not work half of the time, and when it did it was very, very slow. We will never stay here, again, and I would advise anyone else to try and locate another campground in this area. Years ago, we did stay at the Winnemucca RV Park, and will come back here next time. Wish we had just left when they stated we did not have a reservation and gone to Winnemucca RV Park. One other thing, I love children, but when you are trying to shower or get ready to leave and children are knocking on your camper door trying to sell something, it is very annoying. For your interest, go any place in Winnemucca but this one.
This is a beautiful campground. Office Staff are very friendly. Our site was almost level, with lots of grass and trees. Cafe right on the grounds and it offers sandwiches, ice cream and other items for lunch or snack. We would stay here again if in the area.
This park is way overpriced. It does have lots of beautiful tall pine trees, but the sites are not level and very difficult to level due to the slope of the land. The restrooms and showers were not clean when we checked them. It is convenient to walk across Hwy 50 to see Lake Tahoe, but I wish that we had chosen a different park. We stayed for three nights. We would not stay here, again. Not because it is not beautiful but just too expensive for what you get.
We "think" we will enjoy this campground. It is beautiful, concrete slab sites (almost level) with a concrete patio area. Our only concern is that the people in the next site (we have just checked into Site #1) have a dog leash (double leash) tied outside, and when they return, hope they will move it, because if the dogs are able to roam free from where it is tied, they will be able to reach our site. Oh, I just may be making a trip to the office. I love dogs, but sure do not want someone else dogs doing their business on our site. If all goes as we hope, will stay here, again. The restrooms and showers are clean. There is a good laundry facility. The office staff is very friendly.
This is a very good campground. I would give it a 10 all the way if the sites were concrete slab. They provide you with one free hour of WiFi daily, but we purchased it for a week ($16.00) which is not a bad price. Good strong signal in the Park. Staff was very friendly. Could not have been better. The laundry washers and dryers were in good condition, and worked great. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Our site #H-5 had to be level just slightly on one side, but not bad. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. It is very convenient to Yosemite.
This is a good campground with friendly, helpful owners. The site was level, but is gravel, therefore; the reason for 9 instead of 10. Cable TV was good, WiFi was good and AT&T cell phone service was good. We were in Site #34 by the river. We would definitely stay here again if back in this area.
This is one of the worse, or maybe the WORSE campground that we have ever stayed in. The sites are not level (way off), nothing but dust and sand. A concrete slab for a picnic table (or I guess that was the purpose for it in the past) but no table. No nothing for $46.00. I made this reservation online back on 07-17-2010 and my credit card was charged the $46.00 at that time, but the website stated that any discounts would be applied at check-in. Well, how the ??? do you get a discount (we have PA and others) when the office has no one in it, and left packets outside the door stating: "If you have a reservation please find the envelope with your name on it." There was no envelope with our name on it, so we just took one and went to the sites available. None of them were any good. All as bad as #204. On a letter inside the packet it stated, "The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday, so please leave your money." This is mainly a permanent resident retirement village, which would have been fine if managed correctly for RVers, and you got anything half way what you paid for, but nada!!!! So, if you decide to stay at this campground, it will be your mistake. I would NEVER recommend this campground (or dust bowl of junk), to anyone.
We have stayed here before and enjoyed it, but will not stay here, again. The people in the site beside us, just took our picnic table and tried to take over our site. The skate boarding kid would just come over on our site. We did complain to Staff and they got us another picnic table, but have no idea if they said anything to the campers beside us. This park is convenient to Williams, but it is just a parking lot. Will probably go to the KOA next time in the area.
There is actually nothing wrong with this campground. Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. It is just so HOT (and we live in Florida). Do not think we will come through this area again, but if so, will stay at El Rio.
This is our second time to stay at this campground. It is very pretty and close to Williams, but we will not stay here, again. Even though they have concrete slab at each site, the one this time was no where near level. And, the idiots who parked in the site beside us, proceeded to take our picnic table and took it on the other side of their camper. Also, they were allowed to put a tent on their site. If I wanted to camp where there are tents (and I used to have a tent), I would camp some place else: not where it is a very organized, beautifully landscaped RV park. The management should be more in control.
This is our third time to stay at this great RV park. It is clean, well managed, level concrete slab sites, excellent WiFi. There are around 50 TV channels. Laundry room is lots of washers and dryers and work great. We will always stop here when in this area.
This is an excellent campground with good management. Level site and a very clean RV Park. We will stay here, again, whenever we are in the area. Also, it's not too far from town where there are some good restaurants and the UFO Museum.
This is a new park and the owners are terrific. It is a desert RV Park, with gravel level sites. When the trees grow it will be even better. The WiFi was secure and worked great. We would camp here again.
Our first time to stay on St George Island, and we loved it!! The way Florida and the Gulf of Mexico coast used to be before all of the condos, etc., took away our beaches. Lots and lots of seashells and clean beach except for a little seaweed. Easy to walk on the packed down beach sand, and short walk from the campground to the beach. If the campground had sewer hookups would give it a 10/10. One bathhouse (Loop B) is being remodeled and were told by ranger that the one on Loop A will be soon. Has older buildings but not bad. We plan on coming back here, for sure.
This is a beautiful campground right across Hwy 98 from the Gulf. Landscaped, concrete slabs, full hookups and TV and free WiFi, that worked great. We will return to this campground. Has a lot of history (used to practice for Normandy Beach during WW II). Friendly staff. Was easy in and easy out.
Owner of this campground could not have been better. When we arrived he was not in the office due to his wife being in the hospital. We chose a site, left a note at the office, and paid him when he returned. Very friendly and helpful. Our site was level, and had full hookups including WI-FI that worked fine. We did not experience any noise from I-75, and will definitely return to this campground.
This is a brand new RV Park, one year old, all the buildings are spotless including the office. Staff in office - friendly, helpful and concerned that your stay be okay. Park is beautifully landscaped with concrete - level pads, full hookups, including cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Lots of space between sites. We will definitely stay here, again, and highly recommend this RV park.
We like this campground. Beautifully landscaped. Level concrete pads. Full hookups with cable TV. WI-FI worked great (excellent connection) and was a secure site. We will definitely return to this campground when in the area. We could have chosen a waterfront site, but liked Site #2.
Love this campground! Lots of shade trees, it's about 3 blocks from the beach but they have a shuttle going every hour on the hour beginning at 10 AM. We are in site #161A, and it is level, with lots of space between sites. Have not been here before, but will return when in the area. We highly recommend this KOA. By all means if you are pulling up campgrounds for Outer Banks, check out the campgrounds at Waves, NC., but stay away from the KOA at Rodanthe, NC. because we had a bad experience there. The KOA here in Myrtle Beach is one of the nicest KOAs that we have stayed at.
If you are military, retired or active, this is a great campground and very convenient to see the area. Plus right at the beach, and the beach is pretty here. The sites are gravel, but level, with full hookups, including Cable TV and WI-FI, that worked great. When we are back in this area, will definitely stay here.
We would never stay at this KOA campground, again. First let me state that the campground did not have many RVers this time of the year (probably around 20 at the most of the available 314 sites), but when we could only get 47 -78 instead of the usual 120 volts on volt meter (we always check because we have known people who "fried" everything by not checking), and asked if we could move to the site right beside the one we had been given,we were told someone would come check on the problem. Now, we had to call back and when the "guy" finally came, he was arrogant and asked "Are you a license electrician?" He said he was busy and did not have time to replace or check the electrical outlet. So, we asked if we could move to the site next to us. He did call the registration office and they finally said, Yes. The bath houses and showers are old. The sites are gravel, but it was level. This place is way too expensive for what you get, and then to have to fight to get an operating electrical hookup, and to listen to a "guy" argue was way too much. As I stated, we will not ever recommend this place, nor will we ever stay here, again. If you want an expensive place right near the beach, then go ahead and stay.
Our second time here. We love this park. We like the Super sites. Concrete, level, all the extras. The airplanes are a sound of freedom, and we love to hear them! Actually, they are no problem. We were at Virginia Beach, this time, for a wedding.
This is our 4th time to stay here on our way home or on our way to the mountains or to visit relatives in Birmingham. We like this campground. Very convenient! Friendly Staff. We will always stay here when in the area.
We usually go to Waynesville, N.C. in the Fall but stayed in Murphy, at this campground this time. It is beautiful. Level, concrete sites with all newer type electrical/cable TV/water/sewer type connections. Beautifully landscaped. We stayed in one of the back-in River sites, but most of the sites are long pull-thru. We would stay here again.
This was our second time to stay at this campground, and we will always plan on staying here when in the area. The restrooms and showers are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only reason I do not give it a 10/10 is because the Wi-Fi did not work from our Site #63. We will request a site next time nearer the office. The sites are concrete and level, so a very good campground. And the weather was bad, so maybe that was the reason for the Wi-Fi not working.
This is the best, or one of the best campgrounds anyplace. This is our second time here. The sites are long, concrete and level. The restrooms and showers are clean. The Wi-Fi works great. TV cable. Friendly Staff. Breakfast, also, if you want it. We will always stay here when in the area.
There are a few good reasons to stay at this park, and they are: 1. Close to I-20 (even though bad road). 2. Clean restrooms and showers. 3. Sites are fairly level, but for us it stops there. Buck Creek Road is very narrow and has pot holes. We were in the third RV site ( fairly close to the one Wi-Fi antenna on the office building) but the Wi-Fi did not work. Asked the owner about it, and he said, "Mine is working." It would have been nice if he had been willing to reboot the system (it works in other campgrounds) but don't say you have Wi-Fi if it does not work. We do not own a pet, even though we do like dogs. There was one dog (very friendly) that had the run of the campground, not on a leash. If campers are suppose to: "ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY, they do their business, YOU scoop." Why are some (one in this case ) allowed to run free? No one was watching this dog. We made our reservations for this campground through the central reservation center, back on July 9th, when we were planning our trip. This was one campground on our return home. It was charged to our credit on 7/09/2009. Buck Creek owner said he had no record of our reservation at the campground, but as I always do, I had the e-mail confirmation, showing it had been charged, plus I always carry the credit card statement, showing the charge, also. The owner did accept it, but don't know as he would have, had I not had all the paperwork with reservation and confirmation numbers with $0.00 balance. The trash dumpster was overflowing with garbage sacks on the surrounding ground, and yet we were advised: "Do not leave garbage outside overnight because of the critters." We will not stay here again.
This is an older park that does need some updating. The sewer connections in the ground are too close to where the camper has to park. Plus there is almost always a sewer smell. They say they have Wi-Fi, but you do pay for it, unless you want to take your computer to the office each time you want to use it. There are very few sites with TV cable. Now the plus about this campground is staff is friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers were clean. We probably would not stay here again.
We had a site on top of the hill with mountains behind us and reservoir down below. Concrete level pads, full hookups and extremely well kept. We did not use the showers, but did look at them. They are coin operated, so if you will need the facility, be prepared. Staff extremely friendly. Park well patrolled, so security is good. Some campers did not pick up after their dogs, but there are such idiots in all campgrounds. It's a beautiful State Park. There is no phone signal, nor TV, or Wi-Fi, but it's a great park. We paid $6.00/day, but then we live in Florida, so did not need an annual pass.
This is our second stay here, and we like it because it is clean, beautifully landscaped, close to town with friendly Staff. One of the best campgrounds anywhere. Our site is gravel but level. This will be where we stay any and every time we are in the area.
We like this campground! This is our fifth time here, and we will return whenever we get back to Cody. It's close to town, the museum and several good restaurants. Also it's a good location for seeing Yellowstone. They have clean restrooms and showers, and friendly staff.
We stayed here in July 2007, and were in Site #6, which we liked. I made our Aug 2009 reservation back on June 25th, 2009 and requested #6, again. When we arrived today the lady in the office stated that Site #6 was booked. I asked for one of the sites in the row where #6 is located. We arrived at 1:00 PM, and she stated they were all booked. We looked and there was only one camper already in that row and it was in Site #7. We were staying for 3 nights, and I doubt seriously they were booked. There were only about 15 campers in the entire campground when we arrived. The campground is at the base of Devils Tower, so good location, but we will not stay here, again. The restrooms and showers are very old. Our hot water heater had broken, and we had to use the showers. The laundry had two working washers and 3 dryers. The sites are fairly level, but gravel. They do have pull thru sites. This park is overpriced, but, again in a great location. That all said, we will not camp here, again, because we do not like being lied to.
This campground has fairly level sites with full hookups including cable TV and Wi-Fi. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The only bad thing for us (and others who showed up expecting to stay the same night) there was no one in the office. We were told she was gone until the next day. We had called and made reservations back in July. We arrived early enough to get a good site, but other people who arrived were not so lucky. I did as the instructions said and left the money in an envelope and returned the restroom keys the next morning. Again I am just glad we arrived by 3 pm to be able to get a site. I would stay here again, just because it is an okay campground. They just need someone in the office.
This is our first stay here (4 nights) but will not be our last. Staff - excellent! We were first given a site where the tree limbs were going to be a problem for us trying to level. They immediately gave us another site (Row C) at top of hill (no trees as we requested), and it was great!! Easy to level, too. Restrooms and showers clean and close by. Close to National Park. We will stay here in the future.
This is an okay campground, but nothing special. Rather dusty, and the electric hookups are really weird. Can't use a surge protector because the plug-in is up under the top of the power pole. The staff was friendly, and the site was level: the reason for a 7, not lower.
This is our third stay at this campground. We like it here and stay whenever in the area. The only reason I do not give it 10/10 is some of the sites are a little difficult to level, but not bad. Bathrooms and showers spotless and Staff could not be better.
We love this campground. It is right on Jonathan Creek with lots of beautiful ducks. This is our second time to be here from Fort Walton Beach, Florida and we will return as often as possible. The ladies in the office are wonderful. The bathrooms and showers very, very clean. The laundry room well kept with good working machines. There is a meeting room here, and they have scheduled events at the Recreation Hall, i.e. bingo, etc. We like a site right on the creek even if they do cost a little more - well worth it. We will return! (800) 862-8110
We stayed here three nights and loved this RV park. It is quiet and we were in Site #12 with a wood deck beside it, overlooking the creek that runs through the campground. On Saturday night the owner, Tom Guy, invited all the campers to hear a local country/western singer, John Wesley Carpenter. He was excellent and sang or told us about himself and the area from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. Wonderful, unexpected entertainment. We bought one of his CDs, and were able to meet all of the others staying at the campground. Campground is within walking distance to New River, which we enjoyed, plus walking through a little town that probably once was very productive. We plan to return another year when the fall leaves are in full color. We camped here in a truck/camper, but the sites are large so motor homes would have no problems getting in or out. We usually stay in campgrounds that are pretty busy, so this was different and a great experience.
Very helpful friendly staff. Large new KOA and owners go out of their way to make sure all is okay. There were a lot of campers at this campground working on a pipeline, but no problem. Quiet hours were obeyed. Would stay here, again. We were in Site #4 and it was level.
We booked one of the Super Sites for 4 nights and it was one of the best camp sites that we have seen. This campground is close to the Navy base but those airplanes flying over is music to our ears, knowing these great men and women are allowing us to keep our freedom. The airplanes were no problem at night. We were in town visiting relatives and will definitely stay at this campground whenever the opportunity arises.
We like this campground for an overnight stay and have stayed here twice before. Sam, in the office, is very friendly and just a delightful person to talk with. His daughter checked us in and she has the same great personality. We were in Site #4 and it was level. We will definitely stay at this campground when in the area.
We were at this campground for a Rally, which we enjoyed. Staff excellent. Could not have asked for a better staff. Sites are very hard to level or ours was, and we heard the same from other people. For sure you do not want Site #100. Laundry the best we have seen. Good location.
Loved this wooded campground. Very friendly staff. Site #42 was level, and good WIFI reception. Did not have TV, but what a shame! lol. Had to use brain and read instead. We would definitely schedule a stay here, again.
This is an excellent park. Concrete, level, long pads with plenty of space between each site. It is right at the Hollywood Casino and there is a shuttle every 10-15 minutes but we just walked. Also, as mentioned in a previous review, the casino has a great buffet you can enjoy, and on Wednesday "we senior adults" get the buffet 1/2 price. This is our first time to stay at this park, but will not be our last.
This is a beautiful park with long, concrete, level sites. We were in Site #5. Clean restrooms, etc. Free WIFI that is excellent. Cable TV. We are in a truck/camper. Will return to this campground whenever in this area. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Staff friendly and very helpful as far as how to get to Collin Street Bakery (we came this direction just to buy fruit cakes and goodies). Sites are long, paved and level. We were in Site 46 with full hookups, free WI-FI and even though no cable TV, were able to received a good number of channels from Dallas/Fort Worth. We will camp here, again.
There is nothing really wrong with this park. The bathrooms are clean. Staff friendly. Free WI-FI for 4 hours. No cable TV but a good number of channels anyway. I do not usually care to camp where there are permanent residence, and that is the only reason not a higher rating. The site was concrete and level. OK for an overnight stay. We were near the front of the campground but did not really experience a lot of noise from airport or trains.
Who cares about extra vegetation (it really is landscaped very well) when you can stay in a campground with level concrete pads, full hookups, free WI-FI, cable, clean, etc. This is our second time to stay here, and we drove an extra long time coming from the Grand Canyon to make this campground for two nights. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will be back to American RV. It is excellent.
This is second time to camp here, but will not be our last. We love it here! Close to the store, Yavapai Lodge Cafe where they do have great food, especially the cinnamon rolls during the breakfast hours. There are shuttles buses to take you anywhere in the part, colored coded routes, but we like to walk or hike, so did not take the shuttle this time. Trailer Village is just a short distance (good level trail) to the Canyon Rim Trail, where you can walk a mile or two in either direction and every view point has something different. Did not go down Bright Angel Trail, this time, but all of the other trails were worth every penny spent here. We were in H52 and a little hard to level, but hope to return many times in the future. Oh, you do have to keep your sewer hose put up when not in use due to the Ravens. All sites have full hookups so no showers in this campground.
This is a beautiful and excellent campground. We were in Site #221 and did not have a problem leveling our truck/camper.The sites all have concrete pads. The restrooms and laundry were clean, but not enough for size of this campground. There was one lady who had every washer and dryer tied up for hours. Friendly and helpful staff with, Irma in the office, going above board for us. We had made our reservation at the wrong campground and she helped us get it corrected. We will definitely stay here, again.
We like this campground even with the noise of the trains all during the day and night. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and laundry. Our site was a little hard to level, but do not know about other sites. We camped in the camp sites nearer the train tracks, but other pull through sites were located to the back of the property. Very convenient for going to Big Ben, even though once in the Park, and at Panther Junction Visitor's Center, telling us that the only campground with hookups in park was full - it was not. However, think I would rather be in Marathon anyway. We camped in Site #19 in a truck/camper. We will return here whenever this way. Gage restaurant at the historic Gage Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the campground.
We love this campground. Level sites, quiet, friendly, helpful staff, pull thru sites, good location, etc. Fredericksburg is a unique little town with the Nimitz Museum as well as other museums to see. We will come back here.
Staff very friendly. Good grass or dirt level sites. Not bad at all. Good space between sites. Would stay here again. We camped here in truck/camper but most were either motorhomes or fifth wheels and there was space enough for slide outs, etc. Wifi and cable worked fine.
This is our first time at this KOA, but we will be back. We were in Site #117 right on the lake and it was full hookups, and Wi-Fi. We did have to pay $3.00/night for TV cable but did not mind because there were many channels to chose from. The Staff was very friendly and very professional. We will stay here again.
We like this campground. Has Cable TV, WIFI, and close to I-65. There are a lot of shade trees and the only reason that I do not give it 10/10 is because our site was not level, but everything else was great. Friendly staff and clean restrooms and showers even though we used our own. We camped here in a truck/camper, and will return when in the area.
I booked our reservation at this KOA campground because of the previous reviews, but I can assure you that this campground is not all that good, and we will not stay here again. Our site was not level and actually very difficult to level, plus very small and backed right up to the camper behind us. There are some beautiful shade trees but the campground is dusty and just too close to the site beside you, behind you and in front of you. As I said - we will not be staying here again.
This is first time to stay here, but we will be back. We had a site right on the stream, and loved it. Lots of trees and enjoyed the ducks out on the stream. Site was level! The bathrooms are some of the best anywhere and very, very clean. Staff could not have been better.
This is a pretty COE park, but there are a lot of little, tiny ants. Be prepared to spray your camper before and after you leave. The lake was way down due to the drought in the South, but our grandsons did enjoy throwing rocks to see them splash when they could get close enough (due to the mud) to throw them into the water. We much prefer Red Top Mountain State Park. They have some full hookups, too, that the COE park does not offer.
We have stayed at Long Eagle Campground on the Lake twice. This time we booked full hookups and right on the lake so it was better than last year. It is a good place to walk (and boat, swim or fish) if you want to or like to. The campground Host, Lou and Sherry were terrific. We will return. The full hookups are limited so you do need to make your reservation early (maybe close to 1 year) if you enjoy full hookups.
This campground was torn up during hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the owners are new since Katrina. They are friendly, very nice and helpful. Our campsite was a little hard to level, but have had worse. There are a lot of people staying at this park who are evidently permanent, but we just stayed one night and the campground was full the night we stayed due to it being so close to town for functions, etc. There are a lot of pot holes in the paved driveways, but maybe it just takes more time to get everything back in order after such a terrible hurricane. There was nothing really wrong with this park, but probably would not stay here, again.
This was our third time to camp at this COE campground. We have always stayed in Brown Point area with full hookups, but this time had to take a site with just electric and water. Our reserved site only had 108 voltage which would not run our air conditioner and temperature was in higher 90's so needed the A/C. We enjoy the park,so took another site. They did send someone to repair the plug and circuit breaker the following day, at the first site the following day, but too late for us. Most of this park has lots of shade trees, wonderful place to walk, lots of deer so just a great place to relax. But if you enjoy boating, jet skiing, fishing, etc., a great! Even though a bad experience this time, we will return. Love this park.
Staff very friendly. Has Cable TV and great WIFI. Our site was fairly level. We would stay here again when in the area. Don't usually like to camp where some permanent renters but this campground was okay, and the permanent resident campers in good shape.
We like this convenient campground right off I-80. Has TV, WIFI and our campsite was level. The laundry room is air-conditioned with a good number of washers and dryers. Staff very friendly. This was our second stay here, and we will return when in the Lincoln area.
The Staff was very friendly. We only camped here one night and would probably camp here again. The site was fairly level, had TV and WIFI. The dumpster is a good walk from most camp sites, but otherwise this KOA okay.
This is one of the best campground we have stayed in. The site was gravel, but it was level. We also had cable TV as well as WIFI. WIFI worked at our site. The Laundry room was so clean and had all the extras that make washing and drying clothes less a chore when camping. There was even a TV in the laundry room. The restrooms and showers were very clean. The owners were very friendly and actually could not have been better. We stayed here only one night, but will definitely stay here, again, when in Nebraska.
This is a beautiful, convenient KOA campground. Right at the entrance to Devils Tower and a view of the Tower is present at the campground. Lots of shade trees and our site was perfectly level. Did not have to do anything. The Staff could not have been better. We will definitely come back here, again. WIFI was great but no TV, but who really cares when off and enjoying being together as a family.
Owners of this campground are great and gave us a bottle of water when we arrived because the weather was hotter than normal. We stayed here two nights, and would stay here again. The sites have concrete, level pads and some space between the sites. There is a restaurant, "Dutchie's" right on the campground.
We just camped here one night and it was okay, but very dusty. Our site was level but saw a lot of campers/motorhomes who really seemed to have problems leveling. We camped here in a truck/camper and probably would not stay here again, even though Staff friendly and helpful. A water park is available for people with children so that could be a plus for a family who need something to entertain the little ones.
We will be here for 5 nights, and it is a pretty campground, but sites are really close together unless you are one of the lucky ones backed up to the golf course. When making your reservation maybe request Row A unless they do not allow you to request a particular site. WIFI is, as one reviewing stated, yo-yo. Sometimes you can get on and other times you cannot. There are lots of trees and birds, which we enjoy, and convenient to the Safeway with good walking paths or sidewalks. There are only two washers and two dryers and with a campground this size needs more. We would stay here again.
We camped here for three nights, and would recommend this park. Staff are helpful and friendly and the owners are very nice. Lots of shade trees and near Wheat Montana (the best place to have breakfast and lunch with the best bakery goods and breads around. Also, good for a trip to the Missouri Headwaters State Park where the Madison, Gallatin and Jefferson Rivers form the Missouri River.
This is an okay campground for overnight. I would not want to stay here for very long. Too dusty. People are friendly and the sites were fairly level and if you need a larger site there were plenty of them. Some of the people are permanent residents evidently. Again, okay for overnight. We went to the porch at the office and were able to get WIFI from there, but not at our site.
We were only here two nights and had full hookups, but good thing. It was $3.00 to use the shower and that was for a very short time allowed. Their web site indicated (to me) that the campground was located near the Flaming Gorge, but it is not. It is 3 miles from the dam. However, the people were very helpful and friendly and there is a restaurant right on site where you could get WiFi, so we would stay here again.
This is our first time to stay at this park, but will return probably many times and stay much longer. We had only made reservations for 3 nights and were sorry that we had not planned to stay longer. The manicured lawns, the excellent staff, the clean bathrooms as well as the convenience of this park makes it terrific. It is within walking distance to the town of West Yellowstone and can book a tour into Yellowstone National Park if you do not want to drive in yourself. Some people might complained of how much it cost, but I would rather pay a little more and have the opportunity to stay in such a fantastic, well run Park. We will be back!!
This park is beautiful but needs more Ranger's or someone to make sure that the guest at each site are staying on their site. Also, too many dogs (and I like dogs)and too many tents on one site. This was more so on the weekend and I believe it was the locals who invaded other peoples sites. I booked Birch Loop 2 months ago, and glad I stayed there and not Big Creek, which also has full hookups. However, the power system is old in Big Creek and the sign said to limit how much electricty you used. Not good! The Host couple from Texas was friendly, helpful and good, but we will not stay here, again, due to no control over the people who seem to think they can pitch there tents wherever just because three or four couples (along with children and dogs) booked only one site. The sites at Birch Loop are large with lots of space and many pull throughs. We just think there should be a limit as to how many people are allowed on one site. We stayed in a truck/camper. Another thing that needs to be addressed is how fast the people drive. Even though it said 15 mph some people were going more like 35-40 mph. Reduce the speed to 5 mph and enforce it!!
This is our fourth time staying at this park. Owners are friendly and the campground is well kept. This time they had Wi-Fi which was good. A very convenient campground to town, the Bill Cody Museum, shopping, restaurants, rodeo and Yellowstone.
The sites are very close, but they seem to get the bigger rigs in the larger pull-throughs. I had paid for a premium site which was suppose to be larger than the one we were given, but we enjoyed staying here anyway. Very convenient and we would stay here, again. WiFi worked great: excellent connection so did not mind paying the extra $4.00 per night for it.
This is a beautiful State Park. It had rained so muddy at our site, but we would stay here again. Great place for a family to enjoy a good time together or just a couple being our doors. We had a pull-thru site with full hook ups.
Staff terrific, but would not stay here, again. The park is located evidently in a very low elevation, because there are lots and lots and lots of mosquitoes. The ladies restroom was clean but no bathroom tissue, and the men's bathroom was not clean and had no tissue, either.
We stayed here two nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Laundry and restrooms very clean. Good location. Restaurant right at campground. The barbecue was not as good as other people posted earlier, but it was okay. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here two nights on our way to Cody, WY for a wedding, and enjoyed our stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Free WIFI that worked better than in most campgrounds. TV cable good, too. We would definitely stay here again.
