This is a perfect place to spend one night on your way across I-90! Peter not only takes great pride in his park but maintains it well and is very friendly and helpful! We stayed there on the 4th of July and it was very quiet. We woke up to a Sunday newspaper tucked on our step. Great stop! Not much for kids though so but a great stopping point.
Pleasantly surprised to say the least! Their website doesn't do this place justice! They are located up on top of a hill overlooking a luscious scenic green valley with lots of photo shots! The pool has a cool slide and was very clean and well kept! The bathrooms were fabulous so was the store and staff. Wish we would have booked this place for more than one night! Would definitely come here again! It is right off I-90 but the views/park cleanliness/pool far out weighs the little noise.
This KOA is the first KOA in the world. They have a great staff (lots of workers) and exceptional store. The pool is great. The park is well maintained and groomed (lawns are watered on a strict schedule to keep it all green). The laundry room was nice, and the bathroom/showers (especially on the side behind the Pistol Petes BBQ) were fabulous!!!! Free hot showers, private individual bathrooms. My only complaint would be the thousands of lady bugs that fly around and make sitting outside a challenge. Never had such a problem with them in all the campgrounds we go to.
The kids had fun! We had a special visit from Yogi at our trailer for my sons 9th birthday. Nice pool area and fabulous store and tv viewing room. Laundry was nice too!! The mini golf course needs a little repair but thats being picky. Fun place to stay if you have a family! The extra money is worth it. Staff extremely helpful and made the stay fun!
This park was maintained very well! The store was large, the free showers great!! The location outstanding. An employee went out of his way to help me with my tent trailer when I was having some problems with it. The river is nice, a bit rocky on the bottom for kids to swim in but they could float around in tubes.
Sites were all gravel. Bathrooms way outdated and in need of repair. Wireless internet barely worked at our site. Not much for our children to do (one small swingset) so they were bored. They do have paddleboates you can rent. For a guys fishing trip its alright I guess but for a family atmosphere I'd look at other options the name "Playland resort" is decieving.
