Lakeshore is a very nice campground with a nice view of lake Michigan and the Mackinaw Bridge. The owner is very helpful and quite friendly. We were there late in the season and the restrooms were closed. This would be a 9 or 10 rating if restrooms and showers were available. Due to our late arrival time and date this oversight was not necessarily the fault of the owner. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice campground. The owners were very friendly and quite helpful in informing us concerning sites to see on the Door Penninsula. The campground is less than a mile from the state park. The State Park has a very nice paved bike trail and hiking trail. Great restaurants in the area. We highly suggest the fish boil at Pelletier's. We would stay here again.

This is a very nice campground however the sites are a little tight. Restrooms were clean but very cool in October due to open air construction. Some sites in upper part of the campground had a view of the Apostle Islands. This was a great place to stay while touring in the Apostle Island area. We would stay here again. It is a beautiful area with much to see.

To be fair it had been pouring down rain for hours before our arrival, however the roads were not in good shape in the campground and the grassy areas were covered with a couple of inches of water. The check in office doubles as a local bar. The RV pads were pavement strips in need of some repair. The campground might take on a different look in nice weather but I do not think I would stop here again. It is a convenient location and easy to find from major highway.

Rend lake is the first Corps of Engineer campground that we have stayed in. Our site was right on the lake and it was beautiful. This was a very well-maintained campground. It has a very nice bike trail (paved) that was completed in 2005. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed here during the Escapees Escapade Rally. We walked through the campground and it looked very nice. Lots of little lakes and ponds. Picnic areas available. I would attempt to stay in this campground if I am in the area again. It is beautiful facility with nice areas for safe walking and biking.

This was our second stay in a COE campground. Blackhawk is located about 30 miles South of Lacrosse Wi. right on the Mississippi River. It appears to be on a floodplain and we did pick up some unusual looking flying insects (gnat size) here. Lacrosse is an intersting town to visit and the dams along the Mississippi are also worth investigating. The brewery tour in Lacrosse is interesting. I don't know if I would stay here again due to insect problem. Camp was fairly clean and had a great view of the River.

This is a well-maintained park. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The city of Hannibal is rich in Mark Twain (Samuel Clemons) information. The museum and historic buildings are well worth the time.

This is a very nice park. Stayed here in 2003 and again this year. Internet modem was not working during our stay. The city of Columbus Indiana is very interesting and we would recommend taking the architecture tour offered by the Camber of Commerce.

This campground would be a 10 if it had cable and the price was more reasonable. The owners were very nice. They provided a guided tour through the cherry orchard and we watched as they picked cherrys. It was a very interesting operation. We also picked cherrys while we were there. The site is beautifu with the orchards, hills, and two man-made lakes. Easy access to Sutton's Bay, Leland, and Traverse City.

This park is located right in Petoskey. Excellent access to the bike trail and marina area. Waterfront is within sight and easy walking distance. Beach is very rocky. Nearby sewage plant can give off foul odors if the air isn't moving. Our "pull-through" site was fairly large but low-hanging limbs caught my vent cover and I spent one afternoon replacing that. I backed out of this "pull-through".

This campground is one of the best we have stayed in. The owner is extemely helpful. He delivers firewood to your site on request or makes the rounds on a regular basis. He is constantly policing the grounds and picks up any debris. If I return I will request one of the sites near the Lake. Lake is great for canoeing. Weather was unseasonably warm when we were there and fishing was not good because of this. Train tracks run through campground but the train only comes through once to twice per day. Mosty people seemed to enjoy this aspect of the campground.

This was an easy park to get into and out of. It was a good stopping point for our trip to N.C. from Ohio.

Very nice campground. Friendly and informative owners. Good site for those who want to surf fish. Beautiful beach with easy access for long walks. Easy access to Cape Hatteras, Bodi, and Curituck lighthouses (day trips). Day trip to Wright Brothers museum and Kitty Hawk was worthwhile.

Very clean park. Nice level concrete pads. Easy on and off access from major highways. Plenty of room to back in my 30 foot fifth wheel.
