Next to Canadian River and fair grounds. Most sites are asphalt, level and shaded. Cell service and MiFi Verizon good service too. Roads through park busy and fast with locals going in and out of park grounds and ball fields. Quiet nights. Nice place to stay, clean and comfortable. You might need extra hose and electric chord to make oddly spaced connector boxes. Close to town. Very pleasant generally.
Very pet friendly, lots of cats running around too. Some penned runs attached to sites. Sites closely spaced like most places. Like most Amarillo parks, just off Interstate and noisy. This park just at end of longest airport runway in US, fair amount of military traffic and noise, lots of jet touch and go landings including B-1's. Exciting, but loud. Train tracks to the north, airport to the east, I-40 to the south, and lots of car traffic. Nice management, but noisy surroundings.
COE camp, upgraded pads and electric, all site overlook river in Tailwaters below Gaven Dam right off Hwy 52 as you cross dam into NE. They honor Golden Eagle and about half the sites are reservable from Memorial thru Labor Day. Most sites are wooded and look NE. Convenient to Yankton, SD. Beautiful and clean setting below Lewis & Clark Visitor Center.
Clean and well maintained sites with electric only. Has good spacing and sizable gravel pads. All seemed level. Right on the Missouri River back bay, boat launch and away from highway so it's quiet. About four miles from the city center and convenient shopping.
BLM Reclamation campground on east shore of Canon Ferry Lake/Missouri River. Scenery is incredible. Not a bad site all on water or close by. All sites asphalt and level, fire pits, tables with great views. First come first serve.
Not a destination park, but an excellent place to stay when visiting the region. Clean, friendly and courteous owner/managers. Helpful and knowledgeable about this historic area. Safe environment to leave unit while visiting parts of the region. We extended our visit to four nights because we enjoyed the people and area so much.
