We have camped here many times over the past three years. It is our favorite place to camp in the White Mountains. The owners and staff are extremely nice. The camp ground is well maintained and the bathrooms, showers, and laundry are spotless. You will not find a better place to camp.
This CG was very nice, quiet, friendly and clean. Many sites are private. Because of the length of our truck, the site was a bit tight to back into. The owners helped by pulling our TT in with his tractor. Nice field to play horseshoes, putt putt golf, softball, soccer, etc. Very clean bathrooms and the showers were free and each shower room had a decent area to change. Pets are allowed at the beach. Lots of attractions nearby. Plan to visit here again.
Management was OK. Sites are wooded but small and you don't get a great sense of privacy. Appeared to be a lot of sites for tents versus RVs. Water pressure was terrible; appeared each site had a water reducer at each water hookup which was not removable. Personnel monitor the GC like police. Only one car allowed at campsite and additional vehicle must be parked in over follow area which is across Rt 112. Also, there is an additional charge for a second vehicle but only one gate card per camp site. The playground is not located within the gated CG; you must cross Rt 112 to get to the playground. Store was satisfactory. Three night minimum -- packed up and left after the second night. We have no intention of ever camping here again. I my opinion there are better ones within 15 minutes/miles of Lost River.
Nice and quiet campground. The people running this place were extremely nice and accommodating. Several sites are near the tidal pool, not really ocean front but nonetheless nice. Dump station has two lanes. Only a few miles from Boothbay Harbor, CG has shuttle service to the harbor where there are quaint shops, fishing trips and harbor cruises. Already made reservations to return.
