Very good family resort on Canim Lake. We were two units on the lake shore. Owners very friendly. Very busy in July and August, should reserve. Lots of shade and grass. I don't fish but apparently the fishing is great. They have boat and canoe rentals. Gravel and grass sites. All but one of the lake shore sites are level. The site we were in was about 12" difference from front to back. A bit tight for large units. We are 37' 5'vr. Owner asked about length when we booked and she reserved sites we could fit in. Overall we found it easy in and out.
Quirky little campground in Wells. Joy's campground fits right in with the atmosphere of Barkerville and the gold rush. She is very friendly and always ready with a story about the area. She makes everyone feel welcome and at home. We stay every year.
Great park. Very clean, large sites and very helpful staff. The general store also has a restaurant were we had breakfast twice. The food was very good and reasonable price. This was our second time staying. Even though it is in Fort Langley it is a great base to explore the lower mainland. Also Fort Langley is walking distance from the park and has lots of great restaurants and shopping. Fort Camping is now our must stay park every time we go to the lower mainland.
We stayed for one night on the way to the island. Great staff, very friendly. I asked for directions and help and they were very knowledge able about the area and directions. The park is immaculate. Lots of long term residents but still room for us traveling through. We are considering staying for an extended time this winter.
Nice park. We stayed four nights, staff was very friendly. Maintenance guys were always doing something. Park is well maintained. Wi-Fi was strong at our site. The park is on the edge of town but has good access to the various freeways and bypasses. Easy to get to and from the park.
We were very happy with our stay. There is lots of room. We were there for the dog agility trials. There is a very large field to use for functions like this. The kitchen area in the picnic shelter is very clean and the lady cooking made up some great breakfasts. The site is on a beautiful site on Dragon Lake and is close to town. Staff was very helpful. I'm sure I saw someone cleaning the restrooms twice a day. This was our second stay. Both times it was a very pleasant experience.
We had a conference to go to in Vancouver so stayed at this park for a week. (Weekly rate was $ 229.00.) The staff told us they have security so the two nights we were gone they would look after the fifth wheel for us. The sites are large and clean. The proximity to Fort Langley is great. We had friends visit and spent a lovely day being tourists. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Fort Camping is our park of choice in the Lower Mainland.
