Beautiful state park on the St.Lawrence River. Electric sites can be a little cramped and sunny but mostly occupied by RV's w/ac. Tent site loop is all shaded. We stayed in the RV section. Nice beach and plenty of room to hike and bike if desired. Way off the main road so there's little noise and lots of woods. Sites are spacious but open. Very nice in the off season if that is your style. We'll be back. Restrooms and showers were nice.
There are three loops at this state park to accommodate all camping styles. Many RV's on the lake loop, while tents and pull type in the other two loops, one electric and the other not. Lakefront sites do not have electric so you need a generator or limited stay. Best to check the water before filling up your tank. Issues in past with filtration but appear resolved now. Never hurts to check first. Sites on beach loop can be sand blasted if real windy, so be aware of that. Reminds us of Daytona Beach as it is very wide and long. Not many places to hike but the beach. Park well kept but showers and bathrooms for the beach sites are aging. New baths for the inner sites. We camped on beach loop.
Very large park on St. Lawrence River. Excellent bathrooms and shower facilities and many electric and non-electric sites from full sun to full shade depending on your liking. Great views of the river. Small beach for swimming. Staff very friendly and helpful. Campground is clean and popular with weekenders. We camped in on site #45 which has an excellent riverview and access to everything. Water located at spigots through-out the park.
Beautiful state park with electric and non electric sites. We used a MH on site #31 which was nice and level and there are a wide variety of types available. No black flies here as they treat for them. Restrooms and showers can be a small hike but you have beautiful scenery to see along the way. Plenty of hiking and biking and a small beach on the Raquette River. We camped in September but imagine this place would be full in summer. This is the best of all worlds.
