Absolute DUMP! This is the perfect example why we do not stay at KOA's. To start the staff was very rude, the park is run down, the electric is old and worn. The wireless did not work, and when I contacted the staff they got upset, and told me to get a card. I explained to them I have one, but don't advertise it if you don't offer it! We could not get level and explained the problems with the electrical, the wireless, and the inability to get level. I asked for a refund so we could find another place to stay. They refused give us the money back. They explained that we have one hour to get the refund; it was 1 hour and 20 minutes. We spent that time trying to get set up. The staff became very rude and told us if we were so unhappy just leave. I did explain that we would be leaving a review on this site and contacting KOA office, and they stated they couldn't care less about reviews and even less about KOA. This so called park should just slide down to the junk yard that surrounds it.
To start: I was dissapointed when we arrived. There are NO trees at all, very little grass if any at all, the pool was very small and not very clean. The sites are very tight and small. We were able to get level and the power appeared to be ok. We could never log on to the wireless so we just used our card. I did not see any other over nighters, all of the RV's here look as if they have been here for some time. The office is very small and cluttered with a few RV parts, nothing special. We were going to stay at least four days but decided to leave after 1 1/2 days. The staff was ok, kind of rough around the edges but helpful about the local attractions.
This is our third say here and it has been a real pleasure! I am amazed at how busy they are and still keep the park looking great. The entire staff was by far the best on this trip, or as my wife stated, "They are the friendliest we have ever met." The bathrooms are excellent, the grounds very well maintained and the RV Parts area is great. We did not eat from the restaurant but we heard other guests rave about the pizza. The pool was crystal clear and the owner was kind enough to leave it open after dark so we could enjoy the evening. It is primarily an adult park, very quiet. The Wi Fi was very strong, the power was great and the nights were very quiet. No trains, planes or automobiles.
This was not our first choice to stay, we have learned to make reservations prior to arriving to a designated park. The place we were intended to stay at was full and they were kind enough to get us a spot for the night here. Very noisy, trains all night, a lot of casino traffic and the staff was not very friendly. If we were not staying in the area for a few days, we would have moved on that night.
After a very long day of traveling this is where we ended up. The signage is hard to find but the staff was very nice. The grounds are mostly desert setting and the site was ok. No real issues to speak of.
Let me begin by saying we parked in the Wal-Mart parking area and took our tow vehicle to look at the other parks in the area. We checked all of the rates, the amenities and decided to stay here. This place is wonderful! We paid $22.00 and was treated like royalty in every way. The site was perfect, had excellent power and the water was very fresh. Why spend $60+ per night when you can get the same things for $22?
