Nice rustic campground if you want to get away from the feel of the city. No road or rail noises but a lot of dogs barking and some loud neighbors (it looked like many sites had 'residents' but most residents seemed to keep their sites in order). Gravel drives and pads. Lots of big trees and a separate area just for tents. Small grocery on site and charcoal bbq's at all the sites (no wood fires).

What a gem! All the sites in this large county park had a huge amount of space between them, the most we have ever seen. If there were not trees separating the sites there were flower beds instead. The host was friendly, the hookups were modern, plenty of garbage and recycling. Did I say quiet? We could have stayed much longer if we knew how sweet this park was, but we had to get home. The only negatives were that the wi-fi was down, and a playground would have been nice, at least there was a large grass field for the little one. Make sure you drive past those highway side RV places on the I-5, you won't be sorry you came here.

This was the type of park we really love to be in with a motorhome. It feels like you are really camping with big trees all around, fire pits in all the sites, and un-paved pull in's (the roads through the site are all paved). We really loved the animals on site that our little one could feed herself. We were here in the off season before they were technically open (I.e. The pool was closed and there were no free hayrides running) but we could imagine in-season it would be even more fun for the kids and the staff were fantastic. We really feel bad 'only' giving the site an 8 but the site is starting to feel a little run down. The sign out front made us question if they were even open anymore and the playground and other buildings are showing a lot of age. Laundry machines are 24 hours but the machines are getting pretty old and slow. Wi-fi is only at the main building and very close in sites. If you want to feel like you left the city and found something more 'camping classic', you won't go wrong here.

This was a beautiful park with views (depending on the site) of the bay. If we were in a tent or small trailer this would have been an amazing place but in a 30' motorhome, we had difficulty moving around and the hookup sites (which were the only place we could fit in) were basically in a parking lot all together with no picnic tables or grass. Highly recommend a stop in a tent or small RV but if you are over 20' or so, I'd pass it up.

The Mrs. says, "It has no privacy or charm." All the amenities were here for a full rig hookup and the site was easy to get into. Grass was limited as the permanent residents have all the 'good' spots. It was a nice place for one night on the go with only a little road and rail noise. Residents were nice and chatty. We would have scored higher if there was some privacy and more for the little ones, (e.g. A playground, grass with no dog business).

The Mrs. says: "We should have just parked in a Wal*Mart." As we were driving up the road to the site, the view of Mt. Rainier was fantastic and we were in the middle of a rural farmland. We were glowing in anticipation. Then we arrived. What a disappointment. All the 'good' spots are filled with residents leaving something like an emergency overflow looking area, for travelers. We removed the family friendly tag as with no grass or picnic tables, we didn't want to even take our child outside the RV. We gave it a 3 instead of a 2 just because it was quiet.
