We camped there 2 nights. We were able to pick what site we wanted. The first site we pulled into was a little tight getting into it due to the power poles position but we were able to locate another site that was shady with a concrete slab. We just recently bought a power surge protector and when we plugged it in it showed reversed polarity but a maintenance man came and switched the wires for us. We had a Good Sam discount that reflects the price. I thought for the money it was well worth it. Overall it was a nice camp and we would camp there again.
Nice friendly staff. Very helpful and informative, Sites were a little close, but most are. A lot of campers looked like full timers that lived there most of the time. The park was clean with some shady spots. There was a non denomination church service and Tuesday game night. The trolley stops by there every 15 minutes to take you to town or Gatlinburg. We would stay there again, especially for the price of being close to Pigeon Forge.
This is very nice park, just right outside GSMNP boundary. The staff were very friendly. The sites weren't on top of one another and neatly maintained. We stayed right on the river and it was so peaceful, even though we could hear the river flowing inside our trailer. They also had a little covered pavilion at the river side camp sites. My only complaint, and its not much of a complaint because a lot of parks are this way, but the water pressure was a little low and we didn't get real good Internet service where we were but it was probably because there were a lot of trees (which is a good thing) and we were down the hill. Other than that I would have given them a 10. We would stay there again.
We just wanted a place to stay for a couple of nights without all the bells and whistles and high rates. This was just what we were looking for. Sites were a little close, but they were staggered so we weren't looking into our neighbors rig. Sites were mostly shaded. Good Sams discount. Would stay there again.
There are no bathhouse/restrooms. Small park with shade. Sites are a little close together and a couple of them are hard to get to with a long trailer close to the front. Very nice place to stay. Next to the river. Owners/manager friendly.
This was a very nice park. Very large with lots of amenities. We had to have two people move their vehicles so we could back into our site and our vehicle sits out on the road some, but other than that we had no problems. The site was a little unlevel but most are. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
This is the most expensive park I have stayed in and the worse one yet. The sites were very close together. The limbs from the trees scratched the sides of our trailer, and rubbed the top of it. We had to back out of our site to leave because there was a tree (that looked like had been hit numerous times) that was sticking out too far and we couldn't make the turn. The sites were very unlevel. We almost didn't have enough blocks to raise the front of the trailer. To top it all off you had to pay to use the showers. With the high rate you would think that would be free. The gift shop was nice and the staff friendly. Thats about the only nice thing I can say about this park. I wouldn't stay there again or recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed this park. I waited until the last minute to make reservations and all they had left was just water and electric, but when I got there there was a full hookup site the next day so they allowed us to move. We were parked right next to the Shoshone River and it was beautiful and very loud but we loved it. The scenery all around us was beautiful and it even snowed while we were there. The park was clean the sites weren't too close together. We would definitely stay there again
I was a little disappointed in the park because the sites were close together and we were parked near the pond, and the path towards the laundry and game room so there was a lot of traffic and noise around our site. The trash containers were always full or over flowing. My husband enjoyed getting to fish in the pond, even though he had to pay $7.50 a day but got to keep 3 of the trout. It was nice to be able to hear the river close by. I would stay there again but in a different location if possible.
