While visiting Canada we decided to spent one night in Canada's equivalent of a US "State Park". This park had three campgrounds. We stayed in Portage in site 415. We were a long drive from the office. The sites were huge a private, but the electrical hook-up was in the bushes. Also, at midnight someone started to play an extremely loud movie, which woke us up and we could clearly hear every word. When we tried to call the office/rangers we got no answer. After 30 minutes the noise subsided, but I felt we were on our own if an emergency were to occur. Although I don't think there is a pool, there is a beach on the lake. Very pretty, but I probably wouldn't stay again.

This is one of the better campgrounds we have visited. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. We found strong Wi-Fi at the pavillion, but not at our site. However, my husband was able to do an online training activity required by his place of employment by sitting in the pavillion. There is a lifeguard at the pool, which is quite lovely. The park is located on the Rideau Canal and has a "beach" area, but our kids preferred the pool.

We spent two nights here. The campground is nice with many activities, but the Wi-Fi is splotchy, as it is in most campgrounds. The pool allows a very limited number of people. There is a shuttle available to the Falls. They have a good recycling station.

We stayed here one night on the way to Canada from Tennessee. We arrived just before dark and were able to take advantage of an astronomy program which included viewing the moon and Saturn through telescopes. In the morning we played miniature golf on a course much like the ones at other Kentucky State Parks. We wish we had more time to explore the activities at this park.
