This is a beautiful park with a lot of running and biking trails nearby. We spent a weekend at the park and noticed most of the other campers were families with trailers but did encounter other motorhome travelers. The restrooms were adequate but could use a little more cleaning and updating. They are not heated and it was a little chilly taking a shower in the morning and the water was not very hot, but adequate. The location was great because you felt like you were in a rural area but in reality only a couple of miles to anything you needed. The bike trail to the beach was wonderful and well maintained.
No one was at the office for check in and it was self serve to find your own space. They advertised cable but none was available at any of the sites we looked at. Electric didn't work at the site we pulled into and we had to use the one next to it. The bathrooms were the worst I have ever seen. They were filthy and smelled horrible. I was glad I had flip flops to wear in the shower!
This park was fine for an overnight stay. There were a lot of run down trailers that appeared to be permanent residents of the park. We did have to move after getting everything hooked up and finding out that the electric didn't work at the assigned site. Lesson learned: check the electric before hooking up everything else!
A huge traffic backup on the freeway at 4:00 in the afternoon forced an overnight stay here in Boron. Campground was adequate and the manager was very friendly; however, there were no working restrooms or showers during our overnight stay. We had freezing weather overnight and the hose connections and our hose froze so we didn't have water in the morning. We had to thaw our hose out in the motorhome!
