I enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice, very quiet campground. We had a spacious back-in sight that had ample room for our 37 foot rig. The roads were a bit tight, but manageable. The escort proved to be very helpful in navigating the roads, and his assistance in directing us as we backed in was appreciated. Wi-Fi reception was pretty bad, as was the cell voice and 4G data signal. There was no cable TV available, and there also was no over the air TV signal either - might want to bring some movies if TV is important to you. Campground personnel were pleasant and helpful. Grounds and facilities were both well maintained. Location was very convenient to the PA Grand Canyon (although the hiking trail to the canyon seemed longer than the advertised 3/4 mile).
Pull through sites were spacious and fairly level. Most campsites were wooded with plenty of shade. Campground was very clean and well maintained. Bath houses and trash dumpsters were plentiful and conveniently located. This campground is huge, and as a result, you may have a long walk to some of the amenities depending on where your site is located. Fishing in the lake was pretty good.
Pull through sites #300-320 are all out in the open, very small and not very level. We saw several motorhomes on these sites that had wheels in the air. From reading other reviews, this has been a problem for a number of years, but has gone uncorrected. I would have rated the campground higher if these sites were nicer and if they had provided free Wifi. Most of the really nice sites are set aside for seasonal use. There were a lot of activities taking place, and people genuinely seem to have a good time here. There were a decent amount of amenities and they appeared to be in good shape. Campground personnel were all very friendly. The only thing that didn't make much sense was there only appeared to be one dumpster for the entire campground, and it was outside of the security gates of the campground, and it could be a VERY long walk, depending on where your campsite is located. They would pick up your trash from your site if it was left out.
Most of this campground seemed to be taken up by full time residents, with a lot of their sites appearing to be pretty dumpy. A lot of the area in front of the pond appeared to be under construction and wasn't very attractive. The sites in the back looked to be very nice and mostly wooded. The transient area for RV's was very close to Rte 940, and made for a very noisy environment and a not very peaceful night's sleep. Bath facilities were very clean. Campground personnel were friendly and helpful.
Sites seemed to be on the small side, and the ones in the area we were in weren't very level. Most sites are shaded. The escort to our site was unexpected and greatly appreciated, as there are some very sharp turns and the escort showed us the best path to take through them. Overall, campground was well maintained. Campground owners and employees were all very friendly - we had a lot of fun kidding around with them. As others have mentioned, the campground was very quiet and peaceful, even though our site was very close to most of the activities.
Good size sites, mostly shaded. Access to our site was very easy, although there are a few sharp turns that would be tricky for a large RV. Campground was very well maintained. Campground owners and employees were all very friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do, both at the campground, and in the surrounding area. This place is worth a visit, and we will be going back later this summer.
Mostly small sites, with many not very level. Shaded sites are few and far between. Site selection is a free for all - you have to drive around and hope you can get a site with the hookups you need. Tents were allowed on full hook up sites. WI-FI wasn't free like most campgrounds we have visited, nor is the cable free either, which really didn't matter since it wasn't working anyway. There seemed to be a fair amount of crime when we were there. Neighbors on one side had a phone and watch stolen at the pool, while the neighbors on the other side heard of several crimes being committed. Police presence was very noticeable. The amenities were plentiful, but they were somewhat shabby and in need of upkeep.
