We left a "bad" experience at another campground in this town and came to this one. The difference was like night and day. The attendants are wonderful here. They treat us like we're family, practically. The noise at night comes from the highway next to us, but not loud enough to bother us in our motor home. Great, fast moving river here for rafter's, etc., and so nice with the trees. We are enjoying all the families with children and pets that are here camping and the normal noises expected during the day at a friendly campground. Thank you KOA!
We spent one bad night here. The woman that runs the park is extremely rude and chastised me for being too loud while trying to help my husband park our 44 foot motor home! It was quiet during the day (only 7 R V's) while no one was here, but at night it was the loudest park we've ever stayed in due to their own animals. The cows and donkey's were so loud all night we couldn't sleep, and the trains that run through the property about 500 hundred yards from the campground, didn't help either. There are NO amenities at this park, no restrooms and no office. There was a kiosk with information about the park and how to pay by check only. The woman was very negative about restaurants in the area, as well. Needless to say we will never stay at this campground again. In all our travels we have never met an owner or attendant that has been this rude! We moved the next day to another local R V Park.
We love this little scenic RV Park on the Boulder River. The only problem we saw (and smelled) is the garbage bin. Lots of flies and horrible smell. Once again...a park that needs to put the trash bin to the back of the property away from the campers and provide trash pick up. There were plenty of workers riding carts and could provide this service quite easily in such a small area. Otherwise a great place for young and old to enjoy.
Our nightly rate was based on a 1 month rate. We love it here. I want to comment on the "trash" problem listed by a previous camper. The trash dumpsters had been placed around the camp for convenience to the campers, however, some threw large items such as, large "old" b-b-q grills and broken down lounge chairs, etc. in the bins filling them to capacity "too" soon! The trash bins are now located on the back of the property and the park provides pick up at your site by 10 A.M. every day, in order to monitor such problems. (Due to a suggestion by my husband to the owners}. If you like the "western, rugged, cowboy approach to camping this is the place to come. We have a 44 ft, 2011 Allegro Bus. The owners are "very" open to any comments that will improve their campground.
