We decided to try this park and were not disappointed. It is Lovely and right on the river. We were in site #14 and would request it again. We were delighted with the cement pad and daily trash pickup at the sites. Fish Hook Restaurant is in the park and has good food. As others have written, there is virtually no cell phone service, and we weren't able to pick up internet service so the reason for the rating. Yreka is only about 18-20 miles south which has just about everything you'd need. Would definitely stay here again.
Unfortunately, we would not stay here again. Numerous puddles of water on unpaved roads, extreme mosquito population to the point you ran to the car and back only. However, the woman at the desk was very nice and friendly. Lots of seasonal residents. On the plus side, strong 50 amps.
Very nice and well-cared for RV park. Owners are especially friendly and nice- even came to site to say good-bye. Strong electric, water strength pretty weak, however. Close to heart of Wisconsin Dells. Would stay here again.
We stayed in sp.#28. We thought it a very nice site, next to restrooms, however, never visited them. WiFI was excellent, four bars, however, couldn't get satellite. Good cable. Owners were very nice. Lake Huron's bay front only a couple miles from park, ferries to Mackinac Island which was very enjoyable. Lots of rear space in campground for walking our dog. Would definitely stay here again if in area.
The front view of this RV park/motel is very off putting, however, interior of park is OK. We had site next to mens room and were disgusted that nearly everyone coming out of it left the door wide open - lousy view from RV windows. Outside row of spaces had dog kennel behind fence and it is so marked. Mostly used as base for visiting the Niagara Falls sites. Owner was nice and accommodating.
Very nice smaller campground. Had everything we needed. WiFI worked well. Very friendly owners. We stayed in one of their two 50 amp sites in middle of park. Park was very well-maintained and groomed. On the weekend, someone came in to show whomever wanted to paint ceramics, at a charge. Large community bonfire with free pizza Saturday night. We would definitely stay here again.
We had been scheduled to stay a week, but due to car troubles we could only stay 3. We were told originally, when booking, it would be $70 a night but at check-in it was $80. We don't know if that was because we had to stay less time. We had a slight bay view out our passenger windows until neighbors put up a large screened-in room which completely blocked it unless you stood in the motorhome step-well. Roomy enough sites, good 50 amp, but water pressure a trickle. Would stay somewhere else if in Bar Harbor again.
We stayed for nearly three weeks and enjoyed the lovely campground and Hershey chocolate world. We only had one grievance and that was we were told we could not put our internet satellite dish on the grass. Not only did other campers have their satellite and/or internet dishes on the grass (we counted 19 in driving around the resort), a camper in front of us had theirs on the grass when we checked in. Management was not friendly about the situation. Although we are TTN members, we can't say we'd stay at this resort again.
Most everything was very good at this campground. The only down sides we found was that cable TV was expensive, $3+ per day and some sites were side x sides. Trash was picked up at site each day and after RVers departed, staff was out pronto to rake the site, clean out the fire pit, etc. We would stay here again.
We didn't consider this RV park a 9 in ambience as listed in Trailer Life directory. We thought the cost was very high and they give no discounts. Our site was very close to RVs on either side of us. We were between two seasonal campers who were having their RVs washed. Since we had just had our motor home and car washed and waxed, we asked the mobile rv wash service to be careful if they could with over spray. We were appalled as we watched the workers deliberately spray our car and front of the motor home. Since they showed aggressiveness, we dried off the vehicles ourselves. Would never stay here again just because of this issue we had.
It was rather odd finding your site as after checking in, you drive down a street to what seemed another campground with a different name on boulders at entry. The sites were OK at best. We did not use any facilities except went to the laundry. It is located in a barn-like building which was the filthiest we've ever encountered. We would not stay here again for a variety of reasons.
This was an absolutely lovely RV park. We had a deluxe pull-through site which accommodated our 40' motorhome and tow car. It had a two person wooden swing, fireplace/pit and better picnic table. We stayed in site #28 and we had filtered privacy by shrubs and trees. WiFi worked fine and was free. Owner takes you to you site. We would definitely stay here again.
The site we were assigned in the 50 amp area was fine, however, we had to make a turn on an inside street where people had to move their vehicles for us and it was so tight a woman was wringing her hands in fear we would hit an RV. I had to get out of our motorhome and guide my husband foot by foot to make sure we did not hit any other RVs or cars. When registering we asked at the office if we should unhook our car but they said we didn't need to. In our stays at RV parks, this was the most difficult turn we have ever had to make. Simply for this reason, we would not stay at this campground again.
