Nice park on Lake LBJ. Great fishing and boating. Water was very hard - undrinkable. Had to buy bottled water for drinking. A lot of permanent residents. Hookups were not in great shape. Nice staff and great location.
We stayed here for a week in March 2014. Nice level asphalt site with shade trees. Wi-Fi was good. It's not a destination park, but it's a great deal for the price. $16 per night or $80 per week. Great layover when traveling down I-35. I will stay here again. We stayed in a 5th wheel.
We stopped here overnight on our way from WI to TX. The park is a real jewel. Nice shady pull thru sites. Even though it is right off the interstate it was very quiet and relaxing. We never stay in the area but would stay here again when going north or south.
We stayed here for two weeks. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. The pool and grounds were very nice. Wi-Fi was not very good at our site but worked fine by the pool. The staff were very friendly and we would stay here again if in the area.
We stayed here 4 days in late Sept. and early Oct. The sites are long enough for our 36' with motorcycle trailer and car. You pull in park in a spot then go to the hotel desk to register. Landscaping was consistent with the surrounding area. No trees just shrubs. They do have showers and restrooms at the entrance to the RV park they were new but not very well kept. Our Wi-Fi connection was good but not excellent. Worked good for surfing but not for uploading photos. You got $5 per day in free slot play but you had to wait in line for an hour to get a ticket. The casino has slots, craps, blackjack and roulette. Nice variety. Like most places some staff were rude and some were very friendly. Get rid of the rude ones and it would be much better. Cable TV worked great! The breakfast special was Big Larry's breakfast and was a great deal for $3.95: you got Chicken fried steak, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausage links, 3 eggs cooked to order, hash browns and a buttermilk biscuit. If you have a CDL you get a $1 off that. Staff has no problem with 2 people splitting one either. Pretty good for $1.50 each. Don't want this to sound like a commercial but we enjoyed the stay and would stop again if in the area. Our price reflects the Good Sam discount.
Nice park convenient to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. Our site did not have sewer hookup but was at the East side of the park with a spectacular view of the Arches. The sunrise was awesome. Would have given them a 10 but they did not have hand soap in the bathrooms. They have a gas station but gas was 30 cents higher than in Moab 10 miles away. They also have propane but I did not check the price. Our space was very wide and long. Plenty of room for our motorcycle trailer and car. We look forward to staying here again.
This is a very well maintained park only 5 miles from Meteor Crater and 20 miles from Winslow, Arizona. They have a dog play area that is in 2 sections which is nice if someone else is using one side. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You get a $2 off coupon for Meteor Crater and at Meteor Crater you get coupons for use at the RV park. The .05 discount on gas was nice. The laundry was clean as was the showers and bathrooms. It was a nice place to stay if you want to see the Crater or 'Stand on the Corner' in Winslow, Arizona. We would stay here again if in the area.
I'm going to give this park a little higher rating than previous posters because it was just exactly what we expected it to be, an overnight stop off the interstate. The restrooms and showers were immaculate, and all the services worked perfectly. We were right behind the office and had plenty of room for our 36' + toad. Otherwise not much there but a great place to stop for the night. Friendly staff, and the laundry room, while small, was very clean. We would stay here again.
The Camp was built in 1963 so the sites are small unless you are in a tent site. We stayed here while visiting the WI Dells and our site was adequate for its purpose. Although we were in the middle of town you couldn't tell it. We were surrounded by trees and it was pretty peaceful while we were there. We could walk across the street to Mt Olympus which saved us $5 in parking. We had a large fire ring and the whole campsite was covered with port-a-potties. Firewood was $5 a bundle. The owners were THE BEST! They work very hard to maintain the place and need to hear it once in a while. Everything at our site worked as it was supposed to and I would certainly go back. We went to Top Secret during our stay and it was a horrible ripoff. Don't waste your money. The Ducks are great and a good value for the money.
We stayed here for 3 days over Father's Day weekend However, the campground had it's plus and minuses. They had alot of activities for the kids. Swiming pool was small but adequate. They had bags and washer tournaments. The minature golf course was a joke, but they had a nice driving range. The kids enjoyed ceramics with Laura and made some nice Father's day gifts. They also had Arts and Crafts for kids. We rented a tube and floated down the Zumbro River (in a pouring rain). Saw a lot of wild life including 2 tiny fawns. Our site was not near the river and we could not find a public access or beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had afternoon movies for the kids, karaoke on Friday night and live music on Saturday night. There was always something to do and keep you entertained. Very quiet wooded sites with lots of trees. The Bad. The bathrooms were horrible. Toilets stopped up, showers a mess. My wife refused to use them. I waited until I got home to shower. She used the RV even we were nearly full on the gray tank. Fire rings were small but did what we needed them to do. The sites were all grass and when we stayed it had rained. We had a hard time leveling the RV. I had blocks but they sank in the ground. We fell off the jacks once but finally got it stable. All in all we liked 90% of it. We may go back but not sure.
