We stayed here for a week after being evacuated from South Fork, because of the fires. This park is in the middle of no where and was very dusty and VERY windy. There is a river within walking distance where you can fish. Our Wi-Fi worked well. We were in the first spot by the office. There is NO cell service. We had to get in the car and drive several miles down the road to be able to make a call (very inconvenient). I think $200.00 for a week is expensive for what we got.
I don't know how everyone gave this a 10, because the cell phone service only works in the office and the Wi-Fi is very weak. They went to the trouble of adding another connection while we were there and that worked excellent for about 2 days. I don't know if people are down loading movies or what. We just need to be able to email and check in with our bank. Everything else was wonderful. The owners go out of their way to keep everything clean They work night and day. There is lots of grass and flowers. Very dog friendly. We were expecting the Wi-Fi to work based on previous ratings. We need to be able to be reached by our family, so the Wi-Fi and cell service are pretty important. There are 2 parks together and we were able to connect to the other park more often than ours.
Convenient location. This is a resort/campground. We paid $720.00 a month because they could only put us on the resort side. (didn't book ahead). Didn't understand as the campground is half empty. This is a very large campground but there is no cable and the Wi-Fi is terrible. If I drive up to the office and connect I can usually get on but not for very long. This is our fourth year to come here and the Wi-Fi seems to be getting worse. Don't know if we will come back. There are not many choices.
If you make reservations, there is no refund of your deposit after 7 days. We made reservations in February for July, with 3 other couples. We asked to be together, which didn't happen. We were separated by about 4 rigs. One of our friends is on a walker so this was a real pain as everything in the park is gravel. When we arrived, we asked to be together as promised, and they said they would get back with us. There were vacant spots right by us. They said it was too complicated to change. There is only one dumpster in the whole park and it is a good hike. The dogs are not allowed on any grass and the dog run is by the dumpster and is way too small. We actually would drive to the trash and dog run. We would really like this park if they would improve the dog run and furnish more trash cans. There is also no cable TV or playground. Not a kid friendly park.
This place was a joke. The man behind the desk didn't have any money to make change. He said we could pick up our change in the morning. Together we came up with the correct funds. The electrical connections were past their prime. My husband cut his hand opening the box. Basically this was pretty much a dump. There was a strong sewer smell. There was a train beside the campground but that didn't bother me. We would not stay here again.
Several old mobile homes in this park along with numerous, run down travel trailers. This park is very old and run down. The site parking width is only 12 feet from patio to wall. Our 36ft fifth-wheel had to drive across a sidewalk to squeeze into space. There is free Wi-Fi that worked fairly well. Said to keep off grass: but there was none. We would not stay here again.
They have wide sites. There is a clubhouse for activities. The landscaping is beautiful. No mature trees but lots of beautiful flowers and a nice fenced dog run. It's very clean. Activities and just a half mile to Rio Grande river. This was our second time staying here. We paid a weekly rate. There are two sections. One is a resort where there is ownership (very exclusive), and the RV park is separate. There are many beautiful bronze sculptures and a beautiful entrance.
This park is old with alot of full-time old rigs. It was dusty, with mosquitoes. We had to pay $2.00 for each of our two small dogs and $3.00 per day for Wi-Fi. The hook ups are terrible. The good thing was they gave us a large site at the back, away from the highway so it was quiet. We only stayed one night and if we ever come back we'll try to find something else.
This is a beautiful campground with very large sites. The trees and landscaping are beautiful. The sites are gravel. They have a large fenced dog run. The staff who registered us were friendly. The campsites were very well maintained. The staff were continually cleaning. The park was quiet. We were on a two month vacation and this was my favorite park. I plan to definitely return and stay for a month.
We camped in spot 4 which was all gravel and appeared to be one of the newer sites. There was a highway just a few feet away and a grocery store. I think it was a hang out for teens..cars with boom box's blaring. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The park is one street long with a very run down mobile home park on one side of the street that is not a part of the park. I would not stay here again.
The staff were friendly. This campground had no picnic table. It was a RV park surrounded by a storage facility and was all concrete. The dog run was pretty much an after thought..tiny and really not usable. There was a landscaped area about 4 ft. wide between each RV. Wi-Fi worked great. Would not be my first choice to stay again.
