I'd give this a 10, but since it doesn't have cable or pull-throughs, I figured some would take issue with it. The new owners have only been here a month, but have have done a great amount of work. Everything has a fresh coat of paint; all sites are well groomed with fresh gravel everywhere, with grass between sites. Sites are level, and hookups are excellent. Very helpful owners. Nicely treed with plenty of clearance for rigs with some sites open without trees. 50 and 30 amp available with clean power. 50 amp sites all back up to babbling brook. We loved our stay and will definitely return. Great mountain views from sites. A great experience. This is a quaint, quiet campground, not a resort. Close to lots of things for day trips. Don't miss the Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Park an hour away. I'd praise it even more, but I want my site available when I return......just kidding, we love it.
We stay here every year going to and from Denver. Each year they continue to make improvements. Family owned and friendly. Very accommodating to our requests each time. This year they've added new gravel to some sites and concrete patios along with very modern hookups. Wifi and cable tv work great. We just love this park because of the rural quiet Kansas atmosphere. Not big for entertainment, but it provides the perfect overnight or rest day stop for us.
This is an exceptional RV park on a military base. We arrived after hours and the host was very helpful and came by to check on us after we set up. All sites are level and concrete. There is no grass or shade, but the breeze was great and the views of the mountains and city are great. Landscaping is gorgeous. No reservations are accepted, but we were able to get a nice site in the newest section. We really want to go back and stay here again. Security cruised the park regularly which is a nice feeling. Quick Stop/Class 6 store within walking distance. Excellent hookups for the motorhome. Easy in and out and accessible to town. We followed the "less stressful" entry instruction from the Military Campground Guide and it was longer, but very easy. There is some noise from the expressway, but the prevailing wind keeps it from being annoying. We'll definitely stay here again. Discount for having a Senior Access Pass.
Excellent views, level sites, nicely spaced apart. Clean and well organized. Registration desk staff was polite, but not overly helpful with information about rules, etc. We asked and got the information. Desert terrain and beautiful landscaping. Adequate supplies at the camp store along with gifts. Resort pricing. No TV reception without a dish. Very convenient to tours and Page. RV wash available in Page, but nothing in the park. Boat rentals, etc are all here. We spent 5 days here and will stay here again. Great restaurant on the lake nearby. Individual and family bathrooms. Decent laundry facilities. Gas station on site to accommodate motorhomes, etc. Great paved interior roads and easy navigation for big rigs.
