I guess it's all about location location This KOA has the most seasonals I have ever seen at a KOA. Overall not a bad place. Two miles from the beach by foot or car. Being mid April, a lot of activities were closed like the pool. Store closes at 5pm. We picks FHU back end site #348. This site was small but OK. So, pick a pull through. Most looked bigger. Campground showed its age but at $75 a night, I think I could find better. Sites unlevel Not hateful, but just some general house keeping would help. Probably won't return..
First of all and VERY important - follow the signs to this campground. Don't follow GPS. It will send you down a one way street and single lane bridge which is very tight. As for the campground, all back in sites. Most near the creek. All hook ups work well. Good cable TV. Only one bath house at the entrance, but was clean. Not much to do here. If just an overnight stay is needed (which it was seen being used) it would be fine. Have children? Don't bring them here. Nothing here...playground or anything. Sites are close and sites 19 and 20 are tough because of tree dead center of driveway. No difference that I could see in super site and regular. Nice owner. Very friendly. If you have children and are in the valley sightseeing, I'd choose another campground .
This is a pretty nice campground. There is a steep incline to most of the sites but our site (A3) was very wide and spacious. There wasn't a lot to do there since it was April. The pool was closed, the arcade was also. The Cavern's were really neat to see. If there were more onsite amenities, cable TV, better WiFi, we may have gave a 9 or 10. Lots of construction going on as I could see they are trying to do major improvements. We will be back.
Stayed here five nights. Really nice place. Since it was early spring, the campground was only about a third full. We stayed on the ocean side but the sound side looked just as good. Bath house was showing its age, but clean. I would have given it a "10" but the water was strange smelling. I would advise bringing bottled water to cook and drink.
