We never knew this park was so close to home (Knoxville) and is mainly flat, good highway into except for the road to the park about 5 miles curvy, but easy road. The park was beautiful, there are so many waterfalls here, continuous beautiful nature scenery. We had some trouble with electricity shutting down a couple times, but the maintenance people fixed within 30 minutes of our arrival. Everyone helpful, friendly. The rangers were taking extra time to clean up trash, which I cannot believe someone would just leave a cup or can sitting somewhere when there are trash cans readily available. Most of the sites are small, but we were lucky to get a larger site. The ranger said they are redoing some sites and electrical work over the winter. Want to come back next year. There is an excellent restaurant nearby Foglight Foodhouse, gourmet out in the middle of nowhere.

All I can say about this park is that it could be great with some work. The owner was very helpful and friendly. It looks like there are several permanent residents, but overall the campground is quiet and clean. Super great location for visiting the town of Blue Ridge to Ride Train to Copperhill, TN and Macaysville, GA. Actually, there is a lot to see and do in town of Blue Ridge. We would stay here again, just for that reason. Yes, there was mud & rocks, but hey we're camping here-not a luxury resort.

This campground is very convenient as a place to stay to see the sites in Chattanooga. Very clean, friendly, and quiet. We stayed 2 nights over Thanksgiving weekend to go to Rock City, Ruby Falls, and ride the Incline RR. Our truck broke down, had to leave it at Mountain View Ford, and were able to leave our camper for a week also while repairs done so ended up paying for an extra week, but were refunded for days not used. Want to definitely come back & finish up the activities we had planned. Would highly recommend this campground as a place for an overnight stay or several days to see all there is to see in Chattanooga.

This was a very busy campground, lots of people having fun. It was by the river, quiet & relaxing in the evening. Even the few motorcycles that came in, came in quietly. Much to do in the area, very nice little town, good food, good beer at the Nantahala Brewery, about a mile from the state park. The train ride over Fontanta Lake was spectacular. Lots of good comments about the campground. Will come back.

Very neat, clean park. Friendly camp store workers. This campground is very close to Charleston & Folly Beach making our daily drives in to town super convenient. Lots to do in both those places. The Festival of Lights was an added bonus & we drove around 3 times during our stay just to see it. I guess the after Christmas crowd slowed down for that cause we had no trouble going through. Our site was pretty private, was on a corner. But I did notice the kids seemed to hang out more around the bath house riding bikes, playing football, so yes that area was quite noisy. Will definitely come back again.

A very clean, family run campground. The owners are so helpful with set up & even came around at night to see if you might need more firewood or ice. The only downside is that the sites are super close & if the campground had been full-there probably would not have been much room for a fire between campers. The campground is quiet, everyone behaved, very relaxed atmosphere. Close to the Arts & Crafts Community, Gatlinburg, Carvers Apple Barn & Restaurant. Hiking trail into the Smokeys next to the campground. Would definitely come back. There are several campgrounds along the Cosby Hwy. but this was looked to be the best.

If I could give this campground an 11. It would still not say how wonderful it is. The grounds were immaculate. The staff friendly and helpful. It was almost like a resort. The campsites are large and very private. You didn't hardly know you had neighbors. The beach walk was about 10 minutes down a paved trail thru naturally landscaped paths. There are lots of rabbits and squirrels. What is so good about this place is right in the middle of Destin convenient to everything and you don't feel like you are in the middle of a busy tourist city. Don't want to carry on too much: might make it harder to get in next year. I wish the beach was pet friendly, my little pup sure loves to play.

We camped in the beach campground. The only thing I could complain about was the dust from the road-it had not rained in a while & when cars going faster than they should in & out of the park-created a thick cloud of white dust. The park people do a great job keeping the place clean-but they could clean all day & there are those who would leave messes in the restrooms. The beach was wonderful, lots of shells, the Piggly Wiggly across the road had everything-prices reasonable. Seacow eatery best food & lots of it. Flowers Seafood very clean & great for fresh seafood. Our spot was spacious, for the most part very quiet park, about a minute walk to the beach. Bring drinking water. The water was sort of salty tasting.

Very nice park along the river: quiet and restful. Hiked way back in the campground along the river. Good place to eat: Iron Rail. There is a very neat Craft Gallery next door. Not much else, but relaxation in the Hot Springs across the road. Campground is very clean. Love to come here as much as possible, especially in the winter to enjoy the tubs.

This campground was like being in a jungle. The walk to the beach was short. Our campsite was very nice except there were large hornets coming from holes in the ground. We were careful not to disturb them. The undertow in the ocean was very fierce: be careful! Everyone at the camp store was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. All in all a different place than Huntington Beach. Local seafood is about a mile away, and that was some of the best I have ever had.

We camped here 5 nights: our site was primo! The easiest set up we have had: a large lot that was level, with beautiful trees. A very quiet campground. Was a very easy drive on the Harry Truman parkway to Savannah each day. The last day we stayed at camp and walked the trails at Skiddaway. The bathrooms were clean, the rangers were very helpful. Can't say enough good things.
