This park is good for the places wanted to visit. Staff is helpful. Sites are very close. You are told not to drink water because it has high levels of arsenic. This was a problem because we had to buy bottled water. Wi-Fi worked sometimes. We were told to use the laundry for better connections and speed.
Why did I come here? Very Crowded. Site near ocean was not wide like previous review. It was very narrow. Wi-Fi didn't work when I got here, but worked after that. Definitely overpriced! Golf carts everywhere. It is ocean fronted and you can access the beach easily walking.
Staff was friendly and helpful but check in took a long time. Security gate is not really secure as anyone could easily walk around it and it is trouble to use. WI-Fi didn't work most of the time. They use Tengointernet service that restricts usage. We will not stay here again because we need a good WI-Fi connection that works and allows us to use it as we wish!
Staff was very friendly and helpful, campground was very well maintained and attractive. They furnished a lot of information about the area and how to get downtown. Although they recommended using the bus to go downtown, driving and parking downtown wasn't a real problem, even during Fiesta. They are presently improving WIFI connections and they placed us in a site that has excellent reception and worked very well. We will stay here again.
Mostly permanent residents with some campers and sites in dirty condition. There are trees but some make entering site very hard. Not a good place for large rigs. Campground grounds are not well kept. Sites are very close and one side of campground is very hard to drive into to occupy site with no outlet sign and no turn around.
Convenience to attractions is the best reason to stay here. Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful but wasn't. This is an old campground which needs many improvements. Some shared hookups that are really inconvenient, ex. sewer on wrong side and caused a problem to dump. It was raining when I came in and the site was completely flooded with water. Wi-Fi didn't work on "back area" although staff thought it did. I took the trouble to move to the office area and wifi did work for 3 of 4 days. It went out one night and one day. I will check out the new city campground on the beach next time.
Very large park with many campers. Clean and seemed well kept. We only stayed for an overnight and would stay again for that. Before I came in I called and asked about wi-fi. Lady said they had no complaints. But the wi-fi doesn't work during peak usage times (in late afternoon and night). The campground uses an internet service that required frequent sign ons. When I talked to lady about slow and unworkable wi-fi, I was told to call service technicians on instructions provided. I did, and got no reply. So don't count on good wi-fi service!
Last reviews are still correct except there are no tables or chairs on the site. It is only a good overnight stop because there is nothing there or around there. Lady at check in was very nice and friendly. Still no internet.
Workers were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Wi-fi connection was good but because it is Tengonet provided, it cost $3 per day or $15 per week. I find that costly and would prefer free wi-fi like most campgrounds now offer.
We've stayed here before and it is a great place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked very well. We had to stay "up the hill" because full hookup sites were not available on the lake on the weekend. The interior road up the hill was very rough and needed resurfacing. If planning on staying on weekend and want a lakeside site, make reservations early.
Campground is very wooded with narrow, winding, sometimes steep road to campsites. The road out of the campground takes a steep downward, curving path and then a steep upward path to exit. We had problems getting through the campground with a 30 foot rig. Past reviews about level sites are correct. Would not use this for an overnight stay again.
Main advantage of this park is close location to downtown Savannah. We were parked in what looked like an overflow area that was adequate. Wi-Fi was available in office supposedly but it didn't work and when I talked to lady in office, she said her small computer worked well there and it must be my computer that wasn't working. That was not the case as I used my computer that day at hotspots in Savannah very well and had no problems.
Very clean and well maintained campground. Sites are very well set up and good. We came in at 10:00 a.m. and lady in office said their rules didn't allow early check in and after suggesting leaving early to compensate, she said that was against the rules. She did finally allow us to set up early. There are good paved roads with 13 speed bumps that you have to use to get to your camp circle. Although there are many networks in the park, Wi-Fi doesn't work in some locations, we were in N5. This campground is far from downtown Charleston.
Good for over nite stay as said in previous reviews. Lady worker was very helpful, considerate, and cooperative. Although there is Wi-Fi, it doesn't always work. I think it depends on how many are using it. Hookups are not convenient, shared, outdated, had to use a 50 amp adapter for 30 amps. One water faucet for 2 campsites. Very crowded sites and hard to park. There are mostly permanent residents and condition of campers and mobile homes are not very good.
This park is a great place to stay and now very well maintained. The only exception is wi-fi. We had problems with the wi-fi months ago when we stayed here, and this time it was completely out. The employees said they didn't know when it would be fixed!
Campground is in very good condition and well maintained. The problem we had was the Wi-Fi. It didn't work at our site and we were told there would be someone coming to the campground to fix it but it didn't happen. The two days we were there. Charges for more than 4 people in a campsite of $10 per additional person are high as are most of the other activities available with the exception of the daily movie.
An excellent campground as other reviews said. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi signal (only 76k) was good but uses a system that requires re-registering every 8 hours to get online. This was unnecessary and took time to do.
Office staff was excellent. They were very helpful. I needed an RV supply store and they gave me directions there. I had a problem with internet connections, and they were very helpful with that. wi-fi is good and has strong signal. Campground is immaculate and well maintained. Great place to stay and closest campground to downtown attractions. Right off interstate but there is no noise problem. We will stay here again when in this area.
This park is very clean, well maintained. There are 8 new paved level pull thru sites with full hookups. There wasn't anyone in the office except late evening. Not a problem, just picked a site and put money in envelope at office. It is right on U. S. Highway 385 north of Bridgeport, NE and is on motel property. Traffic noise is not a problem. Wi-fi works good. Nice, clean laundry. I would stay here again.
We camped here and found it not to be as the December 2009 review. It has been cleaned up, and although there are many long term people, the sites are clean and well maintained. It’s location is this campground’s main benefit as it is the closest to the downtown area that most tourist want to get to. The employees were very helpful and gave directions to get downtown via city bus or drive in. They gave out an information packet that is very helpful to sightseeing San Antonio.
This is a quiet campground even though you are close to a busy highway. The campground is down a hill off the highway. You have to register at a restaurant uphill from the campground, but that isn't a problem. The personnel was very helpful and wi-fi connection is very good with a strong signal in site 21, close to the office. If you don't need services other than water, electric, sewer, and cable, this is a great place to stay.
