Great park, very nice people. Quiet, just outside of town. The kids enjoyed the nature trial, and Dad enjoyed the camp fire. The campground was a little tight for a 45 ft coach, but we made it just fine. Large sites are limited so call ahead.
Overall a very nice campground just outside of town. We stayed one night. It was easy to find. We didn't get to talk to the staff because we arrived late and left early, but they left very good instructions for finding our site. They had a lot of rain and roads were muddy. But our site was grass. The campground was next to airport but we didn't hear any noise.
Very nice park. Lots of things for the kids to do. We watched a movie outside, the kids loved it. Staff was very friendly and were really nice. The only problem we had was that it was really tight getting our 45 ft coach into our spot. Check your directions, both GPS (Garmin and Streets and Trips) sent us to the wrong place. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return.
This campground is perched on the side of a hill. The river is not accessible. The sites are so close together that we had to "wiggle" our 40 ft motorhome in and out to leave. There was no room for our neighbor to park their tow vehicle except in front of us. We will not stay here again.
We really enjoyed this park. The kids had a great time fishing. If you use Streets and trips it is mapped near Eagles' Nest Lake instead of Red River. We also had to pay an extra $5 a night to run our heater or AC.
We camped here for the fireworks. This was the best view in town. We wanted 50 amp, but made due with the 30 amp. No shade. There was nothing for the kids to do. The lake was too far for them to walk to.
Campsite was a little cramped. The campers next to us parked in our yard and left us no where to park the jeep. Beach was great. Did not use the pools but they looked nice. Staff was very helpful. Traffic getting into and out of the park was scary.
