This is an older Snowbird park and is starting to show it's age. It was well kept and properly maintained. Space was level, clean, and larger than a lot of other parks. All of the normal activities. Most of our neighbors were long time visitors and were friendly. Our only complaint was the management. They seemed to have a 'fat cat' attitude and you could take it or leave it. Maneuvering inside the park was easy and so was parking. Road noise from outside was minimal in spite of the parks location on a busy hwy. We would not stay here again due to the manager's attitude when one of our cats 'escaped' for about 30 minutes. She was both rude and quick tempered over the incident.
First problem..this park is a mile or so off main Hwy. into Mazatlan. Dirt road is not maintained & full of deep ruts from last rain. Park is gravel with level back in spaces but is only 45' wide. Big rigs will have problems. Price is good but you will pay arm & leg for electric. 4 dollars per day! There is 'no' beach at this location. CAUTION to poor swimmers...DEEP gravel with STRONG undercurrent. Wi-Fi is no longer available, laundry is very iffy, and restaurant never did open. Have stayed here twice & will now call it quits. Remote location with poor entry and lacks any luxury's what-so-ever. Best bet is to continue to Mazatlan.
We have been FULL TIMERS for over 20 years and this was the only time we gave a deposit ($100) sight unseen for an RV space. Don't know what the other reviewers were looking at but we've been in a few RV parks over the years and my wife took one look and said 'NO WAY' ! Come to think of it: just who are those other reviewers?? Some residents stored belongings in front yard, boxes and all. Entire property was unlevel let alone the spaces! Lots of old vehicles and small bicycles scattered around. I've seen neater junk yards. Of course owner was 'not available' to discuss situation. We travel with 2 pets and after a long day we had to find a park, so we moved down the road and a later conversation with the owner about our deposit proved to be as fruitful as the park itself. He no doubt considered $100 a windfall. My advice: stay away from this place and never, never make a deposit sight unseen, regardless of how 'nice' the owner is on the phone or what the website 'looks like.'
This park is extremely difficult for anything over 28' to maneuver! Has bad slope from entrance to back of property with some kind of lava gravel roads. It was the first time I used 4 wheel drive in a park. Utilities were good but on wrong side of rig. Wi-Fi was strong. My space was level & clean. New owners are very straight faced. Previous reviewer is correct about food, gas, and barking dogs at night. Overpriced in my opinion. Can't recommend even for overnight due to tight squeeze. The park entrance is smack in the middle of hard 90* left hand turn. Try not to surprise the vehicle behind you. Would never stay here again.
We thought this park's website was awesome, and the lady on the phone was so sweet! Well, then we arrived and things changed fast. The three women behind the check-in counter put my credit card in the red real fast and they took an hour to fix that. Then we were taken to our space. All roads in park are dirt and badly need graded. SLOW! Our space was anything but level. Utilities were ok. Wi-Fi was iffy. Dust from ATV's & golf carts (each employe drove one) was terrible.
Wow, this is a different layout for any rv park we've seen. Roads were all paved & we just had to move SLOWLY with our huge 5th wheel. Big deal. Our rate reflects a monthly rate since we had some business & maintenance issues to attend to in Denver. We were parked between 2 mobile homes. Large & level. Full hook-ups were on the spot. Our space had some shade but we still had to run A.C. on some warm afternoons. Neighbors were mostly seniors & extremely pleasant. Park was not just clean, it was manicured. Pool was clean every time we visited it. Rec room had lots of seating with a nce small library. I don't remember any noise during the day & if there was noise at night I would remember that! Office lady was polite & helpful the few times we called on her for info. We had no choice, but to stay in this area and I don't think we did bad in our choice of rv parks. Yup, once again, I have to say I'd come back.
Well, we were disappointed in this park. Long dirt bumpy driveway. All shaded sites were occupied by permanent campers. Hook-ups were alright. Everything was on gravel. Getting level was a minor job. ok. Office people were very friendly. Would only recommend this park as a last resort (no pun intended). Spent one night here when we needed to get off the road for a badly needed rest.
Checked into this park a few days ago. AMAZING. First let me explain my rate. I took a premium site upper level (the most expensive) for a one week stay. For another 50 bucks I can switch to a one month stay. Go figure? Whatever I decide my rate will be 11 bucks or less per night! That's hard to beat for what I've experience here so far. This is an extremely clean park. Also extremely quiet day & night. Our space is 100% level & was very easy to back into. All utilities on the money. P.S. they have HUGE pull-thrus. Also nice restaurant ,pool, & exercise room across the street. Been told we get a discount there! Staff so far has been very efficient. Can't wait to try the nearby hot springs, or did they say mineral springs ? What the heck, I'll check them out. Again, we have our own sat. systems so I can't speak for their tv,phone,or wifi systems. One last thing. I feel that no matter how "fantastic" a park may be, I should save the 9 & 10 ratings for any mega park that is also "fantastic" but has added lots of additional facilities for everyone's entertainment. Do we like this place? Let me put it this way...You might not hear from us for the next 26 days. Luv it !!!
This was strange. Stopped here for gas & saw a bunch of kids playing scratch baseball in a very pleasant park. Then I noticed a motorhome sitting alone in an adjacent rv park. Pulled in, price was right & place was quite except for those kids yelling. Boy, did that bring back memories. Oh yeah, the park. Small, a few trees, clean & very quiet at night. A very good overnight stop with full hook-ups. Somewhat level spaces, no complaints. Not a lot of sightseeing but who knows, you might see a future New York Yankee player !!
