Our first clue that things were't quite right, was that there was a gate across the road, and a note saying to "walk to campsite 27A to register." When I got there, this shabby person in a shabby little trailer was there to check us in. The rates here are high for what you get: and if we wanted 50 amp electrical, it was $10 more. What a mistake it was for staying here. This place is an absolute dive, with mostly 'permanent' residents in shabby, run-down RV's and campers. When I asked the manager he said the longest stay is 30 days, but that is an absolute lie. Right when you click to connect to the internet on their Wi-Fi, it states that monthly guests may not take advantage of the WiFi, so it is very evident that these people have been here for months, with potted plants and permanent structures at their sites. We were really looking forward to the Jacuzzi after driving for so many hours, but when I inquired about it, the manager said it was contaminated. What a disappointment. After seeing the inside of this park, you couldn't pay me to use any of the facilities here. I would not recommend this park to anyone! Please share this information!
This was a nice park with friendly hosts. The campground was clean, level sites and pull-through sites. Nice little 'nature walk' for the dog. The swimming pool looked clean and people were using it.which is a good sign.
Very clean and level sites. Had a FREE RV wash that our rig so desperately needed! Nice walkway down to the river and a little nature trail for walking pets. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Laundry was very reasonable @ 1.25 to wash and $1.25 to dry. And it accepted both Canadian and US coins. I would recommend this park to others. It was a great find along our route.
We really enjoyed our two-week stay at Scenic View RV Park. Owners/Hosts were wonderful hosts and made us feel at home with nightly group campfires and wonderful potluck dinners where they provided the main dishes (grilled salmon & halibut, fish tacos and brisket) and the rest of us brought the side dishes to share. We will definitely come back to this park!
This is an immaculate, Dog-friendly, well-laid out park with amazing facilities; two clubhouses, nice swimming pool, and good-sized Jacuzzi. Very friendly staff that escorts you to your site and makes sure everything is alright. We have been to this resort twice this year; once with our Good Sam Group and this last time with some friends. The only drawback for us were the employees of some local Power Company who were camped across from us...4 or 5 families and down another row were more of the same company trucks. They start work very early, and they start their company DIESEL trucks with the lights shining directly into our bedroom window. They were noisy and left their trucks running for what seemed like 15 minutes. And this was between 5:00 and 5:30 AM!!! We felt like the Durango staff should have put ALL the power company workers in the same area right next to the freeway and NOT intermixed with other RV's. I would give it a big 10 if it were not for the noise and inconsideration of the Power Company employees that camp here with their families while they go off to work every day. That is just totally inconsiderate and will keep us from coming back. We camped here in one of the 'Buddy Sites' with our friends next to us.
