This is a great overnight spot. Location is extremely convenient, right where you change from I-8 to the Buckeye Bypass which goes up to I-10 just west of Phoenix. It's a big park, surrounded by open desert, and I've never had a problem getting a site with empty sites on either side. It's pretty new, very clean, and the hosts are very friendly. I have stopped here multiple times and will continue to do so whenever I reach Gila Bend at stopping time.
It's the best place to overnight in the Lancaster area, which is not rich in RV Parks. You are basically parking in a clean asphalt parking lot, but it has hookups and you can put your slide out which makes it much better than a WalMart. You can arrive late and pay in the morning. I stop here whenever I am travelling eastward.
I stop here frequently (overnight) when travelling back and forth between California and Arizona. It's a quiet park on the outskirts of town adjacent to open desert, easy to drive around and easy to park in. If you come in late you can just settle yourself into a site and pay in the morning. The best thing about this park -- the very friendly hosts. Extremely nice people.
