This is our second time here in 4 months. This park is located right off of Hwy 287 and convenient for travelers needing an overnight stop. This park would also be good for people who need a place to stay for awhile. Sites are long enough to keep your tow attached. The hostess is very nice and helpful. She goes out of her way to be accommodating. Although this park does not have cable, we had no problems picking up over 10 channels with our antenna. Also, this park has a by nice pavilion area. Probably one of the cleanest parks we've stayed in. Would stay here again.
This RV Park seems to get bad reviews. We just stayed there overnight and would do an overnighter again. This is a simple park with nice size, gravel pull-through sites. The site we stay, #2, had full hookups. Yes, you do have to check in at the office that is shared with the gas station, but we did not find this a problem. Not sure if they have laundry and showers, probably not. For the price and if you are self contained, this is a good choice for overnight.
Ok, so this is a big gravel parking lot, but so are most of the other options. The view is simply beautiful. The location is close to Safeway (behind RV Park) and the harbor. This park is ok, if I'd come back, I might try a different park.
We loved this park. Our site was very spacious. We parked our 40 ft motorhome and tow vehicle and still had room to spare. Each site is nestled between trees and very comfortable. The park has a cafe that offers reindeer chili in a sourdough bowl .. yummy! and sourdough pancakes in the morning. The staff was extremely friendly - made you feel right at home. Certain sites have better access to Wi-Fi, so be sure to request during reservations. Would stay here again.
We stayed at this RV Park in July 2013 and returned August 2013. We are traveling with friends and they provided us with side-by-side sites (buddy sites). Although the site is gravel, it was level, average size and enough space to park our tow behind our RV. The front office is very nice with extremely informative staff -- they even helped us schedule a tour and made arrangements for the tour bus to pick us up at the park. Laundry facilities, bathrooms, RV wash were perfect for us. Without a doubt, we would stay here again (and we just did).
Although this park is several miles form Denali National Park, but based on our options, it was worth the drive. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The sites were back-in and a little tight, but doable. The front office had very upscale gift items, which was a pleasant surprise. We would stay here again.
Originally we wanted to stay on the Homer Spit - we thought that was the way to go. Instead we stayed here and we are glad we did. This park does not have the traffic and noise as do the parks on the spit. This park is close to Old Town Homer and within walking distance to the visitors center, islands & ocean center and more. The gift shop is very nice and the staff is friendly. The view is beautiful. We stayed for 8 days in site #60. We were stay here again.
After researching the RV parks in Anchorage we selected this one. Once we got to Anchorage, I'm glad we selected this park. All of the other parks in Anchorage appeared less desirable. Although this park is in a busy area of Anchorage, it was OK for a day or two. The sites were a bit tight but doable. Most sites were back-in - which was not a problem, we just unhooked our tow by the front office. Next time we visit Anchorage, we would probably stay in the valley where there is more to choose from. If this is not an option, we would stay here again for a night.
