Friend staff and always clean. Lots of sites, but had to move from first site because not suitable for large motorhome. At our second site a limb was rubbing top of motorhome when the wind started blowing. They had someone come with a pole saw to trim limb, even on a Sunday morning. They had nice fenced dog yard, which is always a plus.
Wonderful state park. Very private sites and extremely clean. Lots of great walking trails. New bathhouse. Cable TV would make it just about perfect. This was our second trip here and we would certainly stay here again.
Very nice, clean and friendly park. Right on the Gulf of Mexico. Not fortunate enough to get site looking right at beach, but were in second row, so had excellent view of water. Saw lots of birds, including two eagles that flew over site. Bathroom was a little dated, but clean. Stayed a week and would have enjoyed staying longer. Most sites were pull throughs. All surfaces were gravel with no grass. A little grass between sites would have been nice.
Perfect for a quick spend the night. Just off I-65 and all pull throughs so did not have to unhook car. Lots of semi-permanents but very clean and quite. Only one bathroom, but home style. Large grassy area for dogs. Would certainly stop over here again.
Just spent the night here while traveling through Nashville. Park was clean with friendly staff. Not much room between sites, but adequate. The only thing negative was the all night tour bus business next door with buses coming in all hours of the night. If you sleep with your windows open that might bother you. It was within walking distance of Camping World. I would stay here again for the convenient location. Staff offered to make tour arrangements for all the Nashville sites. That would have been a plus if we weren't just passing through.
Very friendly staff. Lots for kids to do. I had an electrical problem in motorhome and the owner spent about an hour tracing it down and would not take any payment for his time. The $49 per night was for prime leaf watching season. They turned while we were there. I would highly recommend this campground.
Really nice spacious, level, concrete pads. Lots of room between sites. Wonderful shade trees. Park was exceptionally clean, except for the bathhouse that was overwhelmed because of tent campers. The other bathrooms might have been better. We were there on holiday weekend, so park was full. $9 rate was for Golden Access Pass. I do plan to go there again.
Grounds were very clean. Very friendly staff. The only reason did not give this park a 10 was because of the pool area. Pool was very clean, however, the patio around the pool really needed some TLC. Used water bottles were here on our day of arrival and were still there when we left 3 days later. Could not sit in most of furniture because they were too dirty. It does have a very nice lodge with pool tables, TV and fireplace. Everything was very nice except the pool area. Would stay here again.
Great place to stay and see Stone Mountain. Has lots of trees. Bathrooms were not really clean when we arrived, but were clean the next day. Park has lots of use, so it's hard to keep clean, according to the work camper. Stayed 6 nights, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Would come here again if I could go any other way, but through Atlanta.
Great park! The only reason this did not get a 10 from me, is because you could not choose your site when you made reservations. You have to wait until you arrive, to pick one or be assigned one. Our first night's site was in the sun with no view, so we were moved the next day to a wonderful site on the canal with a tree. Alligators cruised the canal every afternoon. We kept our dog close by. Would stay here again.
Very nice and clean park for a one night stay. Close enough to I-55, but still very quiet. Sites were a little uneven front to back, so had to reposition the motorhome to find a level spot. Has pull through sites. Would return here again if driving down I-55.
This park is exactly what we needed, to stay one night to see the Vicksburg Battle Field Park. Only about 20 minutes away. Park is easy in and easy out and very clean. Has long pull through sites. Even had a very nice dog park to let the dogs run and play off leash.
This is a great park. I would have given it a 10 if sewer hookups were available and the bathrooms were cleaner. Our site backed up to the lake and was perfect. Has very nice Camp Hosts. It's a long drive of about 23 miles from I-10, on a two lane road to get here. Some of it was rough. We were lucky enough to be told not to use GPS to get here. Others did not know that, and were sent down a very rough, gravel road. So get directions from the office. We would return when we want to have another swamp adventure. The $9 rate was because of Golden Access.
This was nothing but a mobile home park. The only RV site we saw was the one they sent us to. Really hard to back into. Once we finally got in, we plugged into electricity and sparks flew and smoke came from receptacle. We immediately unplugged and called office. They said they would have electrician out "first thing tomorrow". When we said we couldn't stay without electricity, they said an electrician was "on the way." We left anyway, as it was getting dark on a Friday night. We didn't think an electrician was really on the way. We never got our money back. Credit card company was no help. If you check into an RV park and there is a 4' x 4' sign that says "No Refunds", run.
