This is a military RV park located on the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, MS. The original campground was destroyed by Katrina. The new location is much easier to get into and out of. Located just off the Pass Road entrance. Office personnel are friendly and helpful. Pet rules are enforced. The distance from the rail service and roads makes for restful sleeping. Although no trees for shade, there are none to damage your rig if there is a storm. Long term stays are now limited to 6 months with 1 month out makes for better availability for short timers. Great park overall.
We stayed two nights. The entrance roads are very narrow. Big rigs may have problem with passing oncoming traffic. Sites are not level. All are graveled. Permanent residents have let their campers go. Pet rules are not followed. The owner told me to keep my dog on a leash while telling a loose dog to go home. Wi-Fi is very weak unless you go outside and work on the old tables provided. We will not use this park again.
