This was a great place to camp in Vegas with younger kids, given its proximity to Circus/Circus. Many of the other reviews are correct in that it is basically a huge asphalt lot, but not sure what more you would expect being on the strip in Vegas. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Facilities were clean. We will gladly return next year.
We enjoyed our stay at this park. We were a little nervous about the roads leading up to Mammoth Lakes in February, but the weather worked with us. I can imagine it would be pretty difficult on the hill that leads up to the park in the ice and snow. We arrived very late and the roads within the park were somewhat icy and snow packed. Our check-in information was posted on the door outside the registration desk, and it included a notice to "make sure not to use electric heaters" at the hook-ups, because they were having problems with circuits breaking. Not a big deal. We just used the heck out of the gas heater since it was February. Very convenient location for skiing. There is a shuttle stop right outside the park that runs up to Mammoth.
We have camped here for the last six years and every year it has been a pleasant experience. This year we made our reservations late and had to switch sites during our stay. We stayed on both the Lake View loop, which is the only loop with a view of the lake, and the Summer loop, which is right at the main entrance. All spots are back-ins, but with plenty of room. There are numerous trash bins, and many bathrooms and showers which are very clean and well-stocked. There are two dump stations which is very convenient if you are not staying at a hook-up site. Many tent camper sites as well, and plenty of park staff who frequently drive around to "maintain the peace," and they also sell firewood. A bike/jogging trail runs through the park, with lots of trees and squirrels. We would highly recommend this park.
We completely enjoyed our stay at this park. We did not have any problems pulling in/out of our pull-through site with our rig. Registration was quick and the staff was extremely pleasant. We had a spot right across from the pool, and a small grassy area with a picnic table. Spent a lot of time at the pool, which was not overly crowded considering the park seemed very full. It was very clean and well-maintained. Park is very family-oriented, with a small playground and arcade. It has a small store which was well-stocked and very convenient. We chose this park because of its proximity to Magic Mountain. We would highly recommend this park.
