Overall a very nice park. The accommodations are primitive, no electric, water or sewer. There is water available, but there is no way to hook a hose to the spigot to fill your coach. The "rangers" are basically camp hosts and were slightly stand off-ish. Not really unfriendly, just not very helpful. There are many miles of nice hiking trails easily accessible from the campground and all the sites are spacious. We would return here again.
We enjoyed a very nice camping trip at this park. The spaces are large enough to easily back into and our space had plenty of shade. Be mindful to check the shade coverage, especially during the summer as the un-shaded spots are awful! The park offers programs such like a Bat Hike, Fish with a Ranger and crafting for kids. The fishing is catch and release and the pond is very small, but it was OK. There is a nice park on the other side of the day use area. Overall I would definitely go back to this campground.
We will never go back to this campground again! The front gates are locked at 8 PM and we had to drive with no map or help to find the alternate check in gate. From that point it took 2 hours to check in! The campgrounds were very dirty and so was the lake front. We walked down at night to check it out and there were people actually bathing in the lake! The rangers are very unfriendly and un-helpful. We were very glad to go home on Sunday.
