Advertised on river, but actually is about 500 feet away thru a field. Wifi did not work the 4 days we were there, and people were talking about having to go to the library about 12 miles away to get on wifi. Really nice place, well taken care of, hosts very pleasant. Campground is definitely for 55+ and most of the campers were there for the season. No permanent residents. Coffee every morning at 9:30 and drinks at 4:00pm. Everyone very friendly. Nearest town Montrose had Safeway some restaurants etc., Absolutly nothing, and nothing to do in Olathe.

Read other reviews. I specifically asked about wifi before reserving. When we booked in, no mention was made of the fact that wifi was not operating nor had it been for some time. We really, really needed wifi for business. Not happy, should have informed us before check in as we would have gone elsewhere.

Take note of previous reviews. If you usually go for full hook-ups at this park it is advisable to forsake that option and go for water and electricity only. The "deluxe" sites offered are at the back of the shops. Sites too small for a 34ft motorhome and impossible for big-rigs. Also employees from the shops use this area at night to congregate after work to chat. I had to go out at midnight and ask them to be quiet as I couldn't sleep. Were booked in for 4 nights but left after two and wouldn't go back. Office staff unhelpful, had no information on area and when I asked if Fairbanks was a nice town was told "well, they've got a Wal-Mart"!!! There are no stores to speak of between Anchorage and Fairbanks so stock up.

Great park. Best one we have stayed in on our tour of Alaska. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Great views in the RV park of mountains and path down to the Kenai River where there are 3 landings to view the river. Really nice feature is that you can use the facilities of the Princess Lodge and they have a really nice restaurant and a pub type cafe where you can eat inside or outside . Comfortable lounge to go for a drink and read all the books provided. If you can't climb the stairs to the lodge they will send the bus down for you and will also take you down to the river. Would definitely stay there again.

There are about 8 slots that overlook the water. The park is small and quite crowded. Basically a gravel parking lot. Park run down but in a good location for walking into the little town. A Safeway nearby. Homer Spit about 2 miles away. Office staff really friendly and very helpful getting me info on a hire car and making phone calls.

Only use this campground if you are either in Anchorage to return rental RV or have to overnight. It is a gravel parking lot in poor condition. The only redeeming features are that it has TV and Wi-Fi. I think that RV Parks in the Anchorage area are few and far between.

As campgrounds in Alaska go this was one of the better ones. Office staff great and very helpful with directions and things to do in Fairbanks. Had slot on the river and enjoyed the view and the walking path that led to the resort cottages and restaurant which had a good menu. Would stay here again.

OK for overnight to Denali or Fairbanks. Office staff really nice and lent us videos to pass the time away as it was raining and no TV.

Small park but immaculate. Margie the manager is absolutely fabulous and will go to great lengths to make sure your visit is all you hoped it would be. Satellite is good at the back of the park. We are in sight 12 and get great reception. The WiFi is very fast. At back of park is nice walking path leading to small park with ponds and public swimming pool. Park is about one mile from Manitou Springs and there are about 100 specialty shops and great restaurants. Laundry nearby that does drop-off service and major shopping and groceries nearby. Liked it so much we extended to 8 days and only for the fact that we have to leave for Alaska would stay longer as lots to do in this area.

Great location on the ocean. Beach available from campground and on North side of camp. Not really equipt for large rigs and oceanfront sites are booked for the season every year. But great place to stay and use as a base for sightseeing. Will stay there again if I can get a space. They are very hard to come by.

Very nice park. Will return next year. Park very clean and well kept and staff very friendly and helpful. Pebble beach access from campground and restaurant available at entrance to park. Great place to just sit and look at the sea or as a base for sightseeing as plenty of great fishing towns for days out and lobster lunches.

This park is disgusting. How it gets such a high rating in Trailerlife is beyond me. Had I known how bad it was we would have driven further. The staff were rude and the park was dirty.

Part of this RV Park has mobile homes. The voltage for power is very low, not able to use microwave, a/c, water heater. Water pressure low to adequate at best. Otherwise it's OK.

We have been here for 11 days and love it here. Not exactly as reported in Trailer Life and Woodalls, but suits us perfectly. Best place to be is in the lower campground near the water. There is no smell from the mud flats, shell beach, and bike or walking track right into town from the campground. It is central for Whidbey Island, ferries to San Juan Islands and the Cascade Mountains. We have a Direcway satellite dish and have very good reception. Like it so much here that we have booked back in for latter part of August for another week.
