This is a very nice park. It was clean and the sites were level. You do park on dirt and rock, but for the most part, it was enjoyable. The internet was good as you would expect for an RV park. Lost connection a few times, but that is expected. The showers and bathrooms were clean. Now the con: we were here on a special weekend so the RV park was crowded with motorcoach people and people with tents. You do not want to be assigned (as we were) in space 33 or anything close to that number. Since the road in front of space 33 is dirt and rock, all we saw was dust constantly, kicked up by vehicles going in and out of this area. We could not move because the park was full. Just a warning; other than that I would stay in this park again. We had plenty of room.
We stayed here one nite and this is a great place to spend more time. The hosts/owners were extremely nice and helped with everything. Everything worked as it should. There was plenty of shade if wanted and open space if you wanted that. Extra large dog area if needed. We would stay here again when in the area.
We stayed here for 2 nights while our motorhome was being repaired. I disagree with the writer who said that the sites were tight. There was grass between each space and "YES" they do need to have picnic benches for each site. The park was clean and could use some TLC. The park is only a couple of years old and they need to plant some trees to make it look even better. Since it is bank owned, until it is sold and $$$ can be sent on it, it is still good enough to spend a couple of days at and enjoy the slow and quiet time. We would and probably will spend time here again.
I have to go with the others that rated this location high. We stayed here 4 nights and did not have the noisy neighbors at all. If you are ever in the Bend area, this is the place to stay. As others have said the spaces are wide and very level. You park on pavers and they "DO" come around and empty "YOUR" trash can every day. We would recommend this location to everyone and when back in the area, we will stay here again.
We stayed here only one nite. We have a 40' and the pull through site was adequate for what we needed. Our friends who have a 39' 5th wheel, was not. I would recommend that if you are larger than a 36-37 foot I would not stay here unless you can guarantee that you have one of the larger pull through sites. Other than that minor problem this RV Park is really very nice. They supply firewood, if you want to sit around a fire. They have ice cream if you so desire. I did not use the restrooms/showers. The lone staff member was helpful and explained everything and checked on how we were doing after we set up. We would stay here again, only after verifying what we would be getting for the night.
This is a great RV Park/Campground. The spaces are long and wide. You will park on rocks and dirt, but there is green grass between each site. There is a large picnic bench at each site, plus a fire ring. Must remember that you are 4.5 miles from the highway and you do have to go over a very skinny metal bridge on the way, but it is worth the excitement as you drive over it. The park borders a very large river and there are several walking paths to walk. This RV park does not have it's own web page, so the one listed will not get you to them. Also the phone # listed is wrong, it is 250) 842-5940. the bathrooms/showers were clean but does show some age. It cost 1 Canadian dollar for 4.5 minutes for the shower. Yes they do have internet, but you had to go up by the office to get on line. We stayed one night and would stay here again if in the area.
This is a great RV Park/Campground. We got a pull through, but could not leave the tow vehicle attached and still make all the connections. I probably need to get a longer sewer hose and would not have had this problem. The spaces were fairly level with a picnic bench at each site. It is close to the main highway and traffic noise is apparent but not to the point that it distracts from enjoying the RV Park. The mangers were helpful and talkative. Everything was clean and picked up. There is a pool for the summer months. We did not use the Showers/Restroom on our stay. We would recommend this location and would stay here again if in the area.
This RV park has the bare essentials: water, electricity, and bathrooms. That is it; do not expect more. No TV and no Internet. The space (pull-through) is long, and I had no problem with my 40' motorhome and tow vehicle. Although it did stretch the limit on the 25' water hose. For an over nighter, this place is perfect. The bathroom was clean, but did need some TLC/updating. The rating I gave is based solely for a place to stay overnight and not be parked next to the highway or pay more at a spot down the road just to stay one night and rest. We would stay here again if for only one night.
This is a beautiful RV Park that is surrounded by mountains. Since it is late into the season the internet was great, I'm sure during the peak season it could be slow. The rest room/showers are some distance from the camp sites. The sites are long (pull through) and can handle the larger rigs. There are no trees to block views or get in the way of slides and/or awnings. If they would put dumps and some type of TV channels at each site, this location would be at or near 10. I would recommend this location and would stay here again if in the area.
This place is beautiful. What a view of mountains and mountain goats. You park on rocks and there is a little grass between coaches. Although it took a little to get it level, we finally got it together. With 50 amp, sewer at each site, and cable TV, we enjoyed this location. The only bad thing was that the showers were $2.75, but they were large and clean. We would stay here again if in the area. .
This is a very nice RV park. Wide open with rock pads and grass between the spaces. The water pressure is great and the Wi-Fi is good. I'm sure when there is more RV'ers here, it could get slow. It took very little leveling for my MH. Can't say much for the over the air TV. Although it digital, not much to choose from, but that is not the fault of the owners. You are right on the edge of town, so everything is convenient. There is a small airport not to far away and the planes take off occasionally. Not a big bother to us. The RV host is more then helpful with direction or info on the city of Soldotna.
This RV park is off the beaten path. The spaces are wide and easy to get into and out of. The park is large and very quiet. There is a stream running next to the park and is very relaxing. The showers/bathroom area is large and clean. Nothing special, but nothing wrong either. Internet was good and they had a few channel on the cable. We would stay again.
The spaces are wide and absolutely nothing to get in the way of slides or awnings. When we checked in the owner said take any place that is open. We took a place in the middle of the park. Nothing special about the RV park, no cable TV but you have about 8 channel of digital TV over the area. The bathrooms/showers were adequate and clean. We would stay again.
RV park has lots of trees and is next to a railroad station. This did not make any difference to us. There was enough room for our 40' motor home. The showers/bathroom were clean, but it is time for them to be upgraded. We did not use the bath/showers but they had pay showers. It is very close to town and within walking distance. We would stay here again, if in the area.
We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed the town. This park is typical for most RV Parks on the road. The pull through and/or back-ins are large enough for our 40' and 4 slides. Yes, the room on the left, was tight, but it left plenty of room on the passenger side of the coach to have a table and chairs. The staff was more than helpful. The Internet was perfect and cable TV had a good choice of channels. The price we paid reflect a change in their charge, due to date, as they will be closing mid Sept. We would stay again.
We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed the town. This park is typical for most RV Parks on the road. There are some great places to park, some average places and some not so good places to park. Mine was good, our friends who was parked next door was not so great. Neither one would allow our awning to go out because of the tree(s), but we did not need them as the time that we were here the sun was always on the left side of the coach. They have a shuttle service here that you can take to most tourist locations, the fee for this was only $2 for each person. They will make reservation for you at most places. The bath/laundry area was big and clean. The only thing that I did not like is their cable TV. There was only 11 channels, in one of the largest city/State Capital for the state. The internet was in and out and when in worked great. We would stay here again.
This park is also typical for the RV parks in Alaska. As in most, it is dirt and rocks, but this place is huge. The spaces are somewhat small. I was able to park in the space and able to put out all four slides and have room to walk by them. The only problem was I was unable to put out the awning and/or window shades because of the trees. This place is clean and well groomed. The bathrooms were big and clean along with the showers. It does need to upgrade the cable TV choices. There was only 7 channels. We would stay here again without a second thought.
This RV park is typical to all the smaller RV parks that you find and stay at along the road in the trek to Alaska. There is not much to the park, but a parking spot with water, Electricity and a dump if needed. The spaces were very wide (we thought) but they were made for 2 RV's each facing in a different directions. They are all pull through. The RV hosts was very friendly and helped out on anything you needed. The bathrooms were clean and adequate. They allowed you to wash your vehicle where you parked if wanted. I would stop here again for one night (only because there is not much to do).
Although tight, we were able to get all 4 slides out, but not the awning. It was somewhat tight with the tow vehicle and we had to pull out prior to hooking up. The RV personnel were very friendly and would help with directions for any activities you wanted or needed. This town was larger then we expected and had a Costco if needed. We did not use the bathroom/shower area, but it they are kept up like the property was, I'm sure they would be clean. We would stay here again.
Although tight we were able to get all 4 slides out, but not the awning. Although we probably did not need it because of the tree shade. Although we did not see any bears, there were several sightings prior to our arrival. There was a medium size group of caribou that would walk and eat through out the RV Park. Several layer down in the grass area near us. You have to go into town to use or get on the Internet. We would stay here again.
The parking spaces here were adequate for our vehicle. Although parking for the tow vehicle was a little tight. All utilities worked as they should with no problems. This location is very close to town. I would recommend that you ask for a parking space away from the nearby river, due to mosquito’s. The bathroom/shower area was adequate, but they did have pay showers. We would stay here again without any thought about it.
This a very nice large RV location. Plenty of space between vehicles with lots of grass. The only weird thing was that sewer dump for our and companion's RV was underneath the rig. Had to hook it up to the dump location and then back up over it. Pull the pipe back to the connection on the RV. This location is next to the town and very easy to walk to. Deer casually walked through the RV park several times. Would stay here again.
Very large KOA with lots of room between RV's. Everything worked as is should. The only bad part is that they allow you to wash your vehicle at each site for a small fee. So, if the group in front of you washed their vehicle before they left, the area could be wet and muddy until it dried out. The bathroom/shower rooms were large and clean. They had a great store on site. We would stay again.
A very nice RV park with plenty of room between vehicles. All services worked, as they should except for the Wi-Fi. Their only antenna is at the office and is weak to our location, which was in the middle of the RV Park. The bathroom/shower areas were clean. We would stay here again.
This RV park is owned and operated by the Park Service. With my 40' RV things were tight. I was unable to get my awnings out. They need to do some tree trimmings for several of the sites, if not all. The bathrooms were clean, but could become dirty with more occupants in the park. With all the trees, it was quite shady. Centrally located to drive to Jackson Hole and/or Yellowstone. We would stay again.
This park is more than adequate. The spaces were sufficient for my 40' 4 slide MH. The bathroom were clean and adequate. Our only complaint was with the wireless network. As in most of the parks, they should update the systems to be stronger and quicker. There was a market next to the park that was great. If you can, enjoy the local theater called "Pickleville" it was great and the steak was great. I would stay here again with no problems.
This park is more than adequate. The spaces were sufficient for my 40 ft 4 slide RV. The bathroom were clean and adequate. Our only complaint was with the wireless network. As in most of the parks, they should update the systems to be stronger and quicker. I would stay here again with no problems.
This RV Park was the start of our trip to Alaska. This RV Park is great and there is not much more you can ask in a RV location. The spaces are wide, level and very easy to get into and out of. They recommended a person to wash and wax the MH and they did a great job. The restrooms were clean and the park was clean. My only complaint about the park is when the watering of the lawn. The night of the wash and wax the sprinklers came on and spotted the back and side of the waxed MH. If you have never stayed here before, you can join the players club and get a discount for your stay.
