We have stayed in this campground twice, once with a tent and the second time with our motorhome. This is the greatest place in the park. We are self contained so we don't need hook ups. We checked out the other one with hook ups and didn't like the parking lot feeling. The elk practically come up and knock on the door. We even had a wolf come thru when we were tent camping and a coyote woke us up one night too. This is the only campground we stay at in Yellowstone it's beautiful. Sites are far enough apart so you can have some privacy. I can't say enough about this place and the people are great.
Except for the dirt road to get here, this is a really cute campground, if you want to call it that. The Crow Creek Mine allows you to stay on. You can pan for gold, and walk through the little town set up. It's really nice.
This is a nice campground to just sit and enjoy the view of the beach and ocean. The walk way is right in front of your RV window but thats ok. Within walking distance to almost everything. Not all sites have hook-ups.
This is a big gravel/dirt parking lot that the city allows for camping. You can camp on the beach in a tent or you can park your RV so you can face the ocean. Not a lot of space between RV's but everyone respects each others space. There are no real assigned spaces. There is a ranger that comes around to check to make sure everyone is ok and doing whats supposed to be done.
You have to get special permission to stay in this campground and you have to stay the minimum of 3 nights. Its very nice but this is boondocking at best. There are streams and flowers and wild life. Very beautiful. Worth the special rules and regulations to stay there.
Very nice large level sites. This is one of three loops for camping right in the park. This campground is kept very clean and its quiet. We stayed for 8 days. Within walking distance to the store, laundry, post office, trails. Just a real nice campground.
We had to stay here a couple of days until we could get into the National Park campground. This park is about 26 miles down the road from the National Park. Its nothing special, very busy, sites are close together and its very dusty and close to the main road though it sits down in a valley. The employees are very nice and helpful and will do just about anything to help.
This is a City Park basically that allows you to park overnight in the parking lot. Admission to the park is free. So is the camping, if you want to take advantage of the coupons they give you when you pay for the night. The coupons are to the salmon bake, it is really very nice. The stroll through the park is nice also, they have things for you to do and see. They also have water for you to fill your tank if needed.
This is another nice provincial park, its across the Yukon River from Dawson City. If you can't be right in the very close spaced parks in Dawson City, take the ferry across the river, its free and runs all the time. The sites are large and level and nicely shaded. Firewood is provided and free.
This is a nice overnighter, across the non busy street from the Yukon river. The only real problem with this place is the employee's not friendly and use foul language in front of customers. Very unprofessional. There was only one other rv in the park and they tried to put us right next to it when I said something about it she put us one space down and then when two other rigs came in she put them right next to us so we were surrounded when there was no need. Sometimes if the campgrounds would just use some common sense. We would stop for any overnighter if necessary again.
The reason for the very low rating on this campground is the campground caretaker. This person didn't come around to collect the fee until 10:30 p.m. She was rude, over charged from what the posted fee was, she told us we couldn't stay at the site we had chosen because it was reserved, but no reserve sign was on it when we got there at 3p.m. She said someone had called that day and reserved it. We had planned to stay 3 days but after being treated like that we went on down the road the next day.
This park would be much better if the sites were not so close together. W e could not put out our awning if there had been another RV next to ours. The group that came in had very little space between RV's with the slides out. The owners are very nice, the place is really clean the laundry is huge and very nice. Other than the very small sites its a nice place.
This is an out of the way park and its small but its one of the friendlist I've been to. Clean, quiet, wildlife everywhere. The owners are the nicest people, they care about their guests. We will go back again and stay longer. It's just beautiful.
This park was full with full time residents. Very small park, had a very hard time getting into the drive way and had to go all the way around back to the street to get into our site for the night. I have no idea how they got some of these RV's into the spaces they were in. The staff was very nice. The place was clean. I would stay there again overnight but not for any length of time there just isn't any room.
This is a wonderful park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Its not a busy park, we had it to ourselves for a couple of nights. Lots of wildlife.
We stayed here close to closing for the season. We will go back to this park. They do have a dump station also.
Very nice place. We didn't get into the actual campground because it was full but they had a picnic area that they gave us a spot for the night. It was really very nice spot if we were going to stay longer I would have been very happy to stay in that spot.
Not real impressed with this campground or the people running it. Lots of sites open and they put us right next to another RV, which wasn't necessary, there were plenty of sites open the whole time we were there. Have a problem with pets that stay in your RV due to past experience, understandable. The people running it just don't seem very friendly at all. This is an open lot no gravel, all grass sites.
Not real impressed with this place. It has all the amenities but there is no control of the other campers, very noisy at night. We were not in the blacktop area, where there is little room between RV's. We were down with the grass and trees. The employees are not helpful or friendly. They have two porta potties for a full campground on Memorial Day Weekend, I saw women letting their little girls go potty in the bushes due to the filthy conditions of the porta potties. I'm glad I was in an RV.
This is a nice campground. If they get their act together the registration would be much better. No one at the gate, no one at the campground,no instructions so we called the 800# and they told us just to take one of the empty spots and someone would be there soon.
Some of the sites were a little hard to level. You had to pay a $7.00 one time daily fee on top of the nightly rate which wouldn't be bad if you stay for more than one night but overall it was nice and if in the area again we'd stay.
This is a nice campground, you have a choice of wooded area, sunny area or water view area the sites are big enough for slides. We were only going to stay 2 days but decided to make this our base for a week so we could go to many of the surrounding attractions and even into Canada. The staff was very nice and helpful, we even had our mail forwarded there and they brought us the newpaper every morning at no extra charge. Really nice park I don't know why the previous reviews had such a problem.
This campground is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians. It is on the Allegheny Reservoir with a boat ramp and dock slips. This campground has everything you need for a great time. The showers have hot water and its free. The sites are very big and shaded or not your choice.
Made this our home base while in the Adirondacks. Nice park, very busy. Interior roads are a bit too narrow in spots for large RV's but passable if careful when another vehicle comes by. Nice for family fun.
This is a wonderful campground and very busy. They have a large lake for fishing, swimming etc. Lots of trails. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. On the Labor Day Weekend they found us a spot to stay even though they were booked full. We arrived a couple of days before and checked with them daily to see if they had a cancellation but they didn't then the day before we were to leave they came down to our site to pick one of us up, they had found a spot for us. We needed to reregister but that was ok we stays for several more days, the sites are huge.
This is a good family park with lots of things for the kids to do. But, if you have a RV the sites are too close together, the hookups are very poorly set up. The owners are not all that nice either. The laundry was clean. The garbage at the dumpster was overflowing and not emptied the 3 days we were there. We won't stay here again, just not a very friendly park.
