Please avoid this campground at all costs. As the other reviews indicate, this campground is poorly managed. I made a reservation at least 60 days in advance via phone and was told I was confirmed for an RV site. Upon my arrival, there was no one in the locked office. I hooked up only to have the campground owner tell me that the site was reserved and there were no other sites that would allow support of my very large motorhome. My wife had cooked dinner but we had not had a chance to eat when we had to hurridly unhook and move on to a rest stop in the Indianapolis area. Let all RV owners send a message to this campground that RVer's cannot be treated in this manner. This park does not deserve to be patronized by any RVer. The attitude of the owner is just as the other reviews have indicated - very bad. PLEASE DO ALL RVER'S A FAVOR AND DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS CAMPGROUND.
Real helpful owners who work hard to please. Entrance route is somewhat difficult with a big rig but with care there are no problems. Call first and get better directions than the ones in the campground guides. Excellent tv service with many channels and very good reception. Good mid Illinois overnight campground, quiet at night.
Good overnight stop near the interstate 69. Good access for big rigs of 45 feet and towing. Gravel sites but solid pads. Good exit and entrance. Much to see and do in Auburn. Plan to spend a few days here. Will not allow washing of motorhomes.
Well kept park. Ownership pride, helpfulness and good attitude is very evident. However, not a big rig park. Do not take 45 foot motorhomes to this park. The trees are scenic but a big rig cannot negotiate among them. The roads are all blacktop which is very nice but they are not big rig width or straight. This is a small camping trailer park or tent park but it is excellent for that type of family oriented camping.
Very well kept KOA. Typical older KOA park with very confined sites and not easy for a 45 foot big rig to negotiate interior road turns. Entry gate is just barely wide enough for a 45 footer to turn with a towed vehicle. Friendly and helpful staff but not much they can do about the typical KOA crowed sites originally designed for smaller rigs. Good store with just about anything you would want. Well landscaped sites but not big rig friendly layout. Very good wifi service at this park. I-29 noise is very obvious when trying to sleep.
Nice appearance and pride of ownership is evident. Owner managers are very helpful but not experienced in guiding very large motor homes. Not a big rig park but big rigs can be accommodated in a few sites if the rig enters the park in the right direction. Walk the park first if you have a 45 foot big rig and especially if you are towing. Entrance could be wider. Watch the turn in a big rig. The gravel road to the park will make your towed vehicle absolutely filthy by the time you reach the park. They allow windshield washing but not the entire rig. I had to stop at a rest stop and use my on-board power washer to insure that my rig was safe to drive it was so dirty from the gravel road to the park.
Good camp ground for visiting the Custer historical area. Staff are friendly and helpful. The layout is not the best for entering and negotiating around the office which is right in the middle of the entrance area. The entrance gate is not very wide if you are 45 feet long and towing. It is difficult to negotiate a 45 foot rig around the office and to the camp sites. Cable TV was good for the few channels available. Best campground in the Hardin area.
A good overnight location about 5 hours from Minneapolis on I-94. Hookups can be a bit awkward since they are all to the rear of the sites. 50 amp sites are all back-ins so you will have to unhook your towed vehicle. Plenty of room to negotiate even for the largest rigs. I have a 45 foot coach with a towed vehicle and had no problems camping here.
This park is the worst I have ever been in for a KOA. It does not deserve to be a KOA. My pull thru reservation was not honored because another camper stayed on the site longer than expected. Instead of moving the camper who did not stay the correct number of days, I was told that all they had was a back-in site. It took 20 minutes to jockey the 45 foot motor home into a back-in space which was not conducive to parking a large motor home. The road to the park is the worst I have ever seen in my 15 years of camping. The road is very rough and it is very dusty. Had to wash the coach and towed vehicle so they were safe to drive. I do not recommend this park to anyone with a larger motor home. The park lacks adequate rock and resembles a pig sty. If you have any other alternative, do not stay here.
Access to park was hindered due to construction in the area but this is not a reflection on the park. Signs as you enter the park are not helpful in knowing where to stop and the office is call headquarters. The sites share utilities which is a negative for privacy and there is no cable TV. The streets are paved and so are the RV sites. The hookups are well located and easy to use. Highway 42 to the park is real hub cap loosener. It is hard to find a better park in the area so we overlook the negatives and try to enjoy the positives of this park. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you are going to stay in the Minneapolis area, it is hard to beat this park and I have tried them all.
One of the best if the best park in the State of WI and I have camped at many of them. Excellent entry with blacktop surfaces on all roads except the camp sites themselves. If all blacktop, this is a 10 rated park. Good sewer, water and electric service, paved patio, and well groomed RV sites. A little loud by the pool so if you want quiet select a site away from the pool. Exit is not exactly aligned with exit roads so a large big rig has some difficulty exiting especially onto the narrow country road in front of the campground. Friendly, professional staff who care about the service provided. Good big rig stop along I-94 in WI
A few big rig sites but call ahead to insure a large site with good access. Large entry driveway for good travel pattern. Entire park in a wagon wheel form similar to a drive-in theater. Friendly, helpful new owners. Some sites could use more rock and are soft after a rain. Well stocked store for camping supplies. Good 50 amp power, water and sewer connections. Good overnight park close to interstate, fast food, fuel, and highway patrol station. Easy on and off of interstate with 45' rig.
