Chilliwack Lake is about 1 1/2 hours drive from Vancouver. Road is paved to campsite but roads within campsite are not. There are 146 sites, 41 of which are reservable. The newer part of the campground - Radium Loop - has the largest and more open sites. The remainder of the loops are in the treed area. There is a small boat launch and a parking lot for boat trailers. There is a beach but it is fairly small and the water is quite cold. The pit toilets were not particularly clean or well-maintained. The continual presence of hordes of flies rendered them uninviting and more or less unusable. This resulted in a lower park rating - otherwise it is quite a nice campground. There is no cell phone coverage. While we were there, a fire ban was in effect but there are fire pits and picnic tables at each campsite with plenty of room between sites. Campground is open from May 1 to October 13.

A small non-hookup campground located on the banks of the Fraser River near Ft. Langley, BC. It does not accept reservations and is very popular during the salmon fishing season. The campsite is clean and well-maintained - including the pit toilets. There are lots of walking and biking trails nearby including a large, off-leash area for dogs. Sites are quite large with picnic tables and fire pits and are situated right beside the Fraser River. The historic town of Ft. Langley is about 15 minutes away by car. Across the Fraser River, trains do run but while you can hear them, they are not loud or annoying. There is also a considerable amount of "river traffic" going up and down the Fraser - mainly tugboats towing barges and logs. Seniors get a small discount and the park is open from March to October.

A poorly administered and maintained RV campground. Everything beyond the swimming pool area and recreational complex is sub par. Check in lacks signage, you are left to find your own site and they have no idea which sites are available. Washrooms are dingy, dark and dirty. There needs to be additional washrooms for the number of people using the park. Picnic tables are rotten or rotting. Interior roads are full of potholes and dusty. Wi-Fi is spotty at best, available only at the clubhouse, and cable TV reception is limited. Sites are too close together and utilities are poorly situated. The clubhouse, pool, and recreational area is the only saving feature of this campground. It seems that there have been assurances and promises of upgrades and improvements but nothing ever seems to happen.
