Very relaxing park once you get there, not an EZ on, EZ off park and barely big rig friendly. The pull through sites are ample and the hookups are good. The cable is great and the staff is most helpful. Would stay again.
Wonderful park, very relaxing with the river a few feet away. The sites are pull through and level with well placed utilities. Don't judge the park by the roads leading to it and remember it can flood in the late spring. We have stayed twice and will return
Very old and outdated park. Very slow and painful check-in and barely big rig friendly. Most sites could use some leveling and attention to the utilities. The pool is within driving distance. OK for an overnight park.
One of the best KOA parks we have ever stayed at and this park was worth the price! Level, large sites with good power. Easy on and off I-95 with a little road noise. This is truly a big rig park. We didn't use the pool or facilities but did find fuel and other services close by. We could have stayed for a week if not on a schedule. Will come back again.
This a nice park with a great staff. It is not handy to I-95 and about 2 hours from Washington because of the traffic on I-95. The access road from Route US 1 to the park is narrow and winding. Most of the sites are level. The Wi-Fi and cable tV are good as is the voltage. The pool is old but OK and the store is very well stocked. The is a KOA and the price is a bit steep. We would stay here again but not to commute into DC. It would be great to explore Fredericksburg from.
Stayed there twice in August and really liked the park. The sites are level and long enough for a 40 ft 5th wheel. AC power was good and cable TV was available. Very close to I-81 but not much road noise. The store is quaint and well stocked plus everything like fuel and food is nearby. The park is not new and a bit shop worn but we will stay here again as it is close to Harrisburg and only about 30 miles to Amish country.
This park has the potential to be great as the setting is beautiful. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The AC voltage is fine, we didn't use the showers or restrooms and didn't swim in the lake. The roads are poor and all the sites are back-ins. There is no cable TV and the price structure well, nickel and dimed you to death. The price is very high for the service rendered but it is the only big rig site in the area. The access roads are steep and narrow plus are about 10 miles from the interstate. Having said all that, we would stay here again.
The conditions of this park are highly over stated. First, the 4 mile road leading to the park is about the width of a double wide driveway with very steep grades. The park roads are very narrow with trees, stumps, rocks and sharp turns that interfere with the towing of a large 5th wheel. The Wi-Fi is slower than dial-up and there is no dependable TV signal available. We all know that KOA parks are extremely high priced. This park is false advertising of the highest level. I would value this park at $15.00 a night and will avoid staying here again.
This is very, very close to I-10 and easy to get to for the evening. The sites are very long but very narrow. The sites are uneven grass with cement patios broken and askew. The patios are infested with fire ants so bring a can of spray if you wish to sit outside and listen to the traffic on I-10. In short this is a KOA, overpriced for the service provided. Also very hard to exit the park and get back on the interstate. You must turn right and as there is no U-turn at the crossover, you drive into a truck stop and turn around there. For us this is only an overnight park of last resort.
This park could be great, the location is pristine. The problem is, the management wants to sell sites to RVers, not rent them. The sites as positioned are short, 90 degrees to the drivways and the hookups are not thought out for RVs. The sites are also very uneven and rutted, I needed 3.5 inches on one side to level the camper. We couldn't use the area in front of our door because it was so narrow and sloped down to the next site. On the plus side, the beach across the road is beautiful and unspoiled. I would use the park again if I was in the area but wouldn't go there as a destination park.
Nice older park, The sites are a bit short and narrow for today's rigs with slideouts. Sites are level and the hookups are in the right area. The landscaping is quite well done and shopping and such is very close by. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The park beach on Santa Rosa Sound is great for kids and the Gulf is less than 2 miles away with lots of free parking. We would stay there again.
Park is very clean, well planned out and far enough off I-12 to be quiet. The staff is helpful and does escort you to your site. I would have rated the park higher except the power is very low, only about 109 volts. We stayed here 2 different nights on our trip from Texas to Florida and back. WE will stay again.
