This campground is clean. The employees are nice. It's just way too expensive to camp here. It is $45.00 a night for 2 people. $10.00 for each additional person. We paid $75.00 for one night. Way too high to camp for one night, and that was off season! They do have canoeing and tubing: but that's at an additional fee.
This is a very nice and clean family campground. And a Good Sam Park. Bathrooms are clean but could be updated. You have to pay for the showers...not sure how long showers last for. They have a good size heated pool and also a big filtered swim lake.(Lake is very clean) The only thing I wished they do is have the pool and lake open for a longer time. They close them both at 7pm. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Seasonals are very nice too and keep their area nice...some eyesores but not much. What I liked most about this campground is that you can rent their golfcarts for $31 a day. Nice to drive around and see where everything is since the place is big. Campground is close to a lot of attractions. We had an excellent time and will camp here again!
When we first pulled up to the campground, I noticed a fence with barb wire surrounded the campground. Strange. The site we had was nice and roomy...but located at a corner with a busy intersection of golf carts flying by and people walking. A WARNING: GOLFCARTS SPEED IN THIS CAMPGROUND!! This place caters more to their seasonals then anything. Bathrooms were ok...the one by the office was really clean. I wonder why? We were awoken one morning (2:30AM) by a bunch of fireworks going off in front of our trailer (and down the road). I guess they were welcoming all us weekenders. I think this place was way too pricey (we paid $66 a night). It is nice that you can go tubing and canoeing there...at a extra fee, which I thought was crazy since we paid so much to camp. Nothing at all special about this place...Same as other campdgrounds. Just way OVERPRICED!
The only thing I didn't like about the campground was our spot for our travel trailer. It was a tight fit just to back in. We had enough room for our trailer and truck, but couldn't have a campfire because there was no place to put it. Thank goodness they have people to lead you to your campsite and help you back in. (If you camp here, one of those helpers is a nice guy and does a great job getting you in). This is good plus! The whole campground was clean and nice. The bathrooms are clean but should be updated. I give a lot of credit to the people that dress in those costumes (Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy), with it being as hot as it was when we camped. Nice place to take the family. We will be camping here again. We reserved a much bigger spot.
We really liked this campground. So far this year I would have to say it was the best one we went to. We had a pull thru which was nice. (not leveled but okay) The campground is very clean. Staff are nice and helpful. It was opening of the pool when we went and the kids had fun there (pool is heated). Plenty of activities for the kids too. They have a miniature golf area which is decorated nice and lots of fun. We would camp there again.
We had heard a lot of good reviews about this campground and thought we would see how good it is. It is under new ownership, and they are doing a lot of upgrades to the park. The bathrooms are updated and very clean. Our site was nice and roomy to fit our travel trailer. (then again, they said it was a new site with the e,w & s). The people that are seasonals were very pleasant and nice. The owners of the park were also very nice and helpful. They have a pool there shaped as a turtle which is cute...but very small if the whole park decided to go swimming. The only thing I think they should do with the campground is add more equipment on the playground for the kids. They should also put some basketball courts up too. And also have activities for the kids. When we went for the weekend they had no activities for the kids at all. They have an arcade there which the kids used...and used all our money just so we can get them out of our hair. If they can do these little extras to the campground, I think it would be a good place to get away for the weekend. Otherwise, bring lots of quarters for your kids for the arcade.
This campground was very clean. The bathrooms were clean. The employees were nice. There are alot of seasonal campers here, but all were very nice. They have activities for the kids to keep them busy. The pool is new and very big, with a kiddie pool too. This campground is a country setting. Nice place to camp and relax. Alot of new upgrades here. We will be back to camp again.
We stayed here for the weekend. It was early in the season for any activites for the kids, so I cannot comment on that. And since it was early, there were not many campers, either. The campground was very clean and bathrooms looked old but clean. They have one pool...not really big if the park was packed with campers and everyone decided to go swimming. The playground wasn't much. They could have more equipment on it. They have no cable T. V. We met a few seasonal campers which were friendly. Also we heard that this campground was the only one in New Jersey that allows you to bring dirt bikes, quads, etc. They have trails for all of this. There are restrictions, of course, that you have to obey. We will come to this campground again in the future.
