Park has lots of shade, with roomy sites. This park is beginning to need a facelift around the sites. Lots of mud, leaves, and tire ruts among the campsites. Sites could really use some stone or grass, and some filling in of holes wouldn't hurt either. Overall it is a nice park with some decent amenities, but you can tell maintence is beginning to lack. Some of the Staff could be a bit more upbeat also. Hopefully they get back to work around here since it is one of my favorite campgrounds. We'll still keep coming for now.
We didn't take our trailer this time and opted for a river cabin instead. Well laid out park, although not many restroom and showers available for the size of the campground. Pool area was nice but could use a bit of cleanup. Sites next to road may not be everyone's cup of tea, there is a light buffer but I wouldn't choose those sites. Staff OK, nothing special, cabins on the river are very nice.
Excellent Halloween activities and trail. Clean park, and quiet. Store prices are a little high. Sites are mostly or easily leveled from what I had seen. Sites are larger then most weekend camping sites. We'll be back again.
Low rating due to their dog policy and high charges for everything. Any breed of dog is allowed per their desk person. I asked since we had a neighbor's 10 year old daughter walking a pit bull around camp. I was told no policy on type of dogs allowed. Now without arguing are they all dangerous or not; this dog is certainly more then a ten year old could handle if it happened to be upset at other small children or dogs. I asked why firearms weren't allowed if dogs that could be only stopped by one are? No response. I just don't think this was the type of place for such an animal especially being handled by a young child. About prices, they charge for everything, a bit overboard, .75 just for 6 ounce coffee as an example. Park is kept up and clean. Sites are mostly level, and they do have lots of activities that run well. May come back but I do second guess the dog policy.
Quiet rural campground. Owner is extremely pleasant and maintains the campground nicely. Campground is only 5 minutes from Deep Creek lakefront. Most sites are pull-through with gravel, he also has primitive tent sites. Nature is around here, he does have the periodic bear, and coyote wander through camp. This is one of our favorite places to stay.
Large sites, mostly shaded. Campground is primarily seasonals and full timers. About 20% looks to be open in general so they stay booked up. Store and rates are a bit expensive for the norm. Very average campground. Place was clean and secured. We may camp here again.
One of our favorite places. Wooded campground with mostly level gravel sites. Lots of activities for the younger ones. Great local information at the store. Very quite at night, even when the campground is full. We'll come back again next season.
Clean campground with some roomy sites. Road noise from the interstate is abound though. Prices for everything a bit high, and WiFi is at a steep charge.
Overall a nice park. Many cabin rentals and amenities for children, so you have to understand there will be the more then usual noise that comes with them. Some sites can be tight or a bit unlevel, although there are many which appear superb. All sites could use either more gravel or grass to prevent so much mud around camp though. My only complaint was the security vehicle which travels through the camp roads consistently after quite hours with it's lights on well past midnight. It did become annoying to hear the war-wagon with its lights on go by every 15 minutes or so. We'd probably camp here again.
Clean park all-around, somewhat tight spaces with many on an incline making leveling a little cumbersome. Pool was fantastic, and kids loved the hayride. Only thing I really didn't care for is a 12pm checkout versus a normal checkout time of 2pm. They will let you pay a fee to come 3hrs early but won't let you pay to stay till 2pm. This would be fine for several night campers, but for us weekend getaway types, we like to have some Sunday time to enjoy also.I would come again for at least 3 nights but no less with such an early checkout.
This park is very wooded with well laid out sites. One of the best parks I've been to as far as shade and being in a nature setting. Lots of activities for the kids which was nice. Park was very quiet; even though full. Only reason for an 8 is due to the pool. Not bad but not perfect, water was looking a little green by the end of the weekend, but I'll chalk that up to summertime heat and non-bathing swimmers.
Clean campground, nice and quiet of any road noise was a big plus. Small, but had excellent and extremely clean restrooms and showers; I was impressed. Only negative was no fire-rings were available and the camp "headmaster" gave me a hard time about picking up rocks around the woods edge to make a fire-ring. His idea was to just build a fire anywhere on the ground which looked ok.
