This brand new park is on its way to a 10! The park has 17 sites so far, the remainder are still under construction. The sites are wide, long and level. Several satellite dishes are placed throughout the park and Wi-Fi was excellent. The sites all have nice picnic tables, and several have fire pits. A short walk north or south takes you to 1 of 2 lakes. The lodge is on the larger lake and is well established with a good restaurant, small grocery store, bar and deck. Cabins and a pier at the lake are also available. The down side is the lack of completion. The owners and workers try to keep the dust at a minimum, but there is no landscaping, or grass, yet. We did cook out, but choose not to eat outside in the dust. The owners are very friendly and eager to make this park as beautiful as the surroundings and as friendly as the lodge. We anticipate giving them a 10 on our next stay.
Very convenient park to town and well laid out, easy to maneuver. Sites are big enough to have a picnic on the available tables. Office staff is friendly and knowledgable. Laundry room is nice sized and clean. We did not use the river/lake facilities, but everyone else seemed to. This is our second stay here but we may try a less crowded park next time.
We kept changing our arrival date and therefore had to shift sites mid-stay. This is a hassle, but the second site was so much better than the first, it was worth it to move. The second site, with a view of the Flathead River, is wide, long, and level. All sites have fire rings and picnic tables. The Wi-Fi is great. This is our second stay here.
Beautiful park with friendly staff. They were very helpful as we worked to get our refrigerator repaired. The grounds are immaculately kept, level sites, nice patios and picnic tables. The navigation between sites is pretty tight, we had to ask people to move their cars so that we could get in and out. Views are great! It is walking distance to shopping, which was nice.
This park is very convenient to Custer State Park and the Needles Highway. It has a few RV full hook-up sites with 30amp. They also have cabins and tent sites and a very nice pavilion. The grounds are beautiful. The camp name is derived from the pair of wolves who make their fenced-off home here. The owner/managers are very nice and helpful. For 4th of July they had a BBQ for all that was great fun.
This park is well laid out for big rigs with easy access off I-15. The management and owners make the stay enjoyable. Our refrigerator was broken and they kept all of our frozen food for us. They had good suggestions for the repairs. We will definitely stay here again.
This is a 55+, private park for Escapees' members only. It is the original Escapees park and therefore a little tight to maneuver. All sites are privately owned and rented through the co-op. It's a great group of people and the park is well maintained. The area is completely fenced but gates provide easy access to the surrounding desert. We are here for 5 nights and will return.
This is a very friendly park. We like that it is not associated with a casino. The front sites are gravel with asphalt pads that are plenty long and level. Pool and hot tub are pleasant, the pool is heated year-round. We also store our rig here because their security is so good.
This was our first visit to North Ranch, and it is beautiful! I like the concept of an RV park combined with private lots. The views are wonderful and we enjoyed walking in the neighborhood. They are fairly isolated, as all Escapees parks, which works to keep the price down. They only have 30amp electric and the sites are all rock. Folks are all friendly and helpful. We will be here again.
We liked the location; easy access off freeway without all the freeway noise. The sites have plenty of room and a concrete pad with a picnic table. They deliver the morning paper, which is cool, and it is an easy walk to the shopping center. We enjoyed the hot tub one night, but the chlorine was way too strong the next. The price will have us looking for a different spot next time.
This park is basic, but it provided what we needed for the night. We had a perfect spot to park for ease of in and out, and all the services we wanted were available. It provided a literal "port in the storm". This is an over-nighter kind of place.
Nice location, friendly staff, clean restroom and showers, $1 laundry machines, propane available, scenic! Construction en route was the only downer. We decided to leave early to avoid new snow, and they even refunded the balance. This was very nice and much appreciated. We will stay here again.
We called from just north of Beaver and the owner stayed open for our arrival. We left early the next morning and got a call from the owner that our tow lights weren't working. Hard to beat service like this. The wi-fi worked well, as did the cable. Otherwise, we weren't there long enough to take full advantage of all the options. We would stay here again.
The owner is very helpful at this mostly year-round occupied park. It has terrific concrete pads long enough that you don't have to unhook unless you just need to. There is a nice gazebo with a propane grill that the owner filled for us when told it was empty. The park is just off major highways less than 10m west of Tulsa.
This park is a gem along a beautiful river. We were camped right next to a path to a cool swim. The park is well kept with long, wide, level sites. It is definitely out of the way: 3 miles down a narrow winding road, the last bit gravel and 2-way travel un-imaginable. Fortunately, that problem did not develop. The owners are very friendly.
Location, good Wi-Fi, wide level sites, stately trees, cable TV, swimming, friendly staff. This park really is clean, convenient and delivers all that is promised on the website. For a park this size, it should have more than 2 washers/dryers, however, they are only $1 per machine. We especially enjoyed the up-close corn fields that border the park.
This small park is really a gem. The rating is due to only 30amp electric, and not all sites are level or big enough for our rig. We had a fairly major water leak that was repaired before we got settled, the whole park is well maintained. The restrooms are very clean and seem new. We enjoyed the Valley of Fires paved walk. All the sites are situated to enjoy the view. Paved, covered picnic tables and grills are perched on the hillside. This park is a perfect 1-2 night stay, avid hikers would enjoy it for even longer. We probably won't hit this location again as it is an out of the way spot.
The price reflects the discount for a Senior Pass. The views are wonderful and there is quite a bit to select from in the way of recreation. However the smoke (AZ fires) and wind prevented us from doing some activities. The sites and most roads are paved and very roomy. The staff is very laid back, but available if needed. We stayed for 5 nights and would camp here again.
We selected this park because of its proximity to the services and activities we were most using. It is close to the track, Wal-Mart and the road to Alamogordo. The owners are very friendly and the park has everything they say they have. The Wi-Fi is excellent. One nice thing they have done is to spread out campers so that we virtually have 2 spaces, one for the car. This would be cramped if that were not the case. They escort you to the site and our site was well leveled. They even have maintenance available on site if needed. I'm sure this was a prettier location prior to the fire that took out the trees on the north side of the highway.
This is a great 1 night park; just off the freeway, wide mostly level sites, gated security, helpful staff. There just isn't enough to do nearby to warrant 2 nights, which is what we did. The grounds are well kept and there are even trees in this otherwise desert landscape. Public areas have beautiful grass, but all else is gravel. Each site has a picnic table and there are centrally located grills.
We choose this park because it is not connected to a casino and they have a wonderful person at the gate who checks tags and security patrols. We have been here a month and will return. We are in a standard site, which is fairly small and all asphalt, but with no neighbors, we had plenty of elbow room. The $20/night is a monthly rate and does not include electric.
This is a wonderful park, on the lake and near the city. We avoided the steep parking rates at Gaylord by walking over. The cost of the park becomes more reasonable if you stay a week because 2 days are free. The wonderful staff is working to upgrade sites and public areas. We will stay here again.
Midway Park is very conveniently located off Hwy-6 and close to services. The restrooms are very old, open to the cold, and when we were here, closed due to broken pipes. There are about 6 sites that offer 50amp and sewer. This set of sites is the closest to the highway and not near as pretty as the other sites. However, we prefer the convenience of a sewer on a 2 week stay. The pads are concrete and level, but not all in good shape. They do have nice picnic areas and grills. We have stayed here several times.
This is our second stay at Airport Park. The sites offer well maintained picnic spaces with grills and campfire rings. You are even allowed to gather wood. We've enjoyed walking the grounds that are spread out along the shore in several loops. With the exception of occasional air traffic, this is a very quiet place to stay.
We loved staying at this park! We were right at the water, visited by deer and ducks. The sites are level with well maintained picnic area. It is between Salado and Harker Heights/Kileen, convenient to shopping and services. Proximity to Kileen means Ft. Hood noise, which we got used to, but some might not. The park had very light traffic in January and we enjoyed our stay.
This city park has a very nice atmosphere: located on the lake amid a golf course, baseball diamonds, frisbee golf, and a beautiful place to walk or ride bikes. The RV sites themselves are a little rough. The park should be re-paved completely, roads and sites. Dump station is very well set up. Beautiful trees and amenities and a good seniors discount will bring us back.
Very friendly staff and well kept grounds. A few problems were incurred due to expansion construction, but with very limited impact. Nice location allows easy access to city services and therefore freeway noise. The free WiFi didn't work well enough for practical use and the cable TV offers limited channels. We would probably stay again if in the area.
We stay here on a fairly regular basis to handle family business and are always greeted with a "welcome home" attitude by the owners. They are very flexible and cooperative, and continuously working to improve the property. The sites are big enough to offer some privacy and the concrete pads are nice and level. The Wi-Fi works really well. The grounds have many mature trees and grassy areas. We'll be back!
This is a very well maintained park on the west side of town. The staff provided helpful local information and was very friendly. The community area is fabulous with a TV and pool table available near the clean laundry. We had a pull through site on the end which offered much more room than those that are in the middle. We will stay here again.
All of the staff here have been most helpful as we had mechanical issues and didn't arrive until 5 days after our original reservation. The park is very spacious, clean and well managed. The owners provided escort to the site and very helpful local information. We would definitely stay here again.
