We had a waterfront site and really enjoyed the lake. The bathrooms were very clean and the campsites were groomed after every camper checked out. However, many sites are small and we felt very squished in. While the staff in the office was very friendly, the owner (man) was extremely rude to us when we questioned one of his rules. It is this reason that we rate is campground a 5.
We have camped here 3 times and have enjoyed every camping experience here. The sites are very large and private. The fishing is great and we also bring our kayaks and canoe. There are many hiking trails to choose from. I just wish they allowed pets. Every time we come here we must make arrangements for our little dog. She loves camping! I know this policy is common in state campgrounds but it is the only thing that brings my rating to a 9 instead of a 10.
