Access roads were rocky and steep. Many sites are extremely unlevel. Dump station was blocked by a sewage removal truck an entire day. Lots of shady sites. One large group circled their rigs into a compound-like arrangement and partied until past 1 AM for two straight nights. This park needs some TLC.
Large wooded lots that are level. Our reservation was botched so we had to move twice in two weeks. Be sure to talk directly to the office. Central reservations does not identify themselves so you need to ask. Wi-Fi is extremely poor and unreliable. TV antenna reception is very poor and with the trees forget satellite TV reception. Cable TV should be available to those campers who cannot run a sat dish cable hundreds of feet to get reception. Too many seasonal residents to make transients such as ourselves feel welcome. Septic system at site backs up when dumping. UGH!
Great but very expensive park. Sites are tight but staff does a great job of guiding you to your site and backing you in. Front desk staff is good but they need to look up and look you in the eye. Destin had almost 20 inches of rain while there which flooded all the beach area sites. It seems management could have had a better plan to get rid of all the water. They had no plan. Needed many more pumps and hoses. Maybe there was no place to get rid of the water.
This is a big beautiful park with asphalt roads and level concrete pads. Picnic tables and benches are concrete which is nice. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place. The park sits directly under the glide path for the Jacksonville Airport. You are never told this. The posted speed limit is 5 mph but the prevailing speed of long term residents into the park is 20-40 mph. It is hazardous and unsafe. The park desperately needs speed bumps. The gym is sparse and the minimal equipment needs to be maintained.
Nice clean little park which we used for a one night stopover. We did not unhook the car so we saw nothing of the area. Would stop overnight there again. Park is easy to navigate on the asphalt roads. Sites are level and gravel.
Gravel everywhere...sites, side yard, roads. Makes for a dusty environment and noisy environment. Come on, grass can be grown in New Orleans. Minimal and out of order machines make it hard to do laundry. Our site was a premium pull through that faced a wooden fence and road. Really? Happy hour was stopped in the restaurant/bar while we were there. This park has a lot of improvement to go before deserving their premium rates. We love NO but doubt we will be back.
This is a big beautiful park with lots of amenities and an active "winter Texan" group. Management should pay a little more attention to grounds maintenance. Some sites have weeds that are over a foot tall. Their propane dealer needs to be more timely when delivering propane. It was cold this winter and several campers ran out of propane due to failure to deliver propane when promised. Management needs to stay on top of this.
Pretty Spartan RV campground. Site was too short for our 38 foot RV. The Wi-Fi did not work properly. The campground would be better if it had cable TV but we used the sat TV. It is very close to the Grand Canyon and the staff is very helpful and loaded with a lot of advice on how best to see the Canyon.
Nice campground with friendly helpful staff. Large clean laundry. Easy access outside and inside the park. Wi-Fi did not work in spite of assurances it did. We used our own hot spot. It is conveniently located to most attractions, including the Strip, if you are willing to drive into Vegas.
Very friendly staff, although they should return voicemails more timely; office does not seem to be staffed, at least phones are not answered, during hours the office is supposed to be open. Very inexpensive nightly rates. Would stop overnight again.
Very clean, bathrooms sparkled, very friendly staff, biggest complaint is that Wi-Fi is not reliable. This was the case for us. We were forced to use our own hotspot. When poor Wi-Fi service was mentioned to staff they seemed very aware of this and advised to plug into cable in guest clubhouse. They showed no interest in fixing this apparently on going problem.
