We got the last spot. We had a back in that backed up to the freeway. There was an accident on the freeway that night so we had to get off. This was the most we paid for the least received. For a one nighter it worked. A lot of permanent RV's. Not where I would want to go to relax.
We stayed here a week. Rate reflects weekly special rate. We LOVED this campground. So close to everything. Our site was under the trees and level. The nuts dropping on the top sorta drove our cats nuts but we didn't mind it. The dog loved watching the squirrels all day. We did a lot of sight seeing in Nashville and surrounding area. We also stayed at the campground for a day or so. Very relaxing. Would definitely stay again and again. Nice laundry and staff was very nice.
We stay here at least twice a year. I put the price as $1 because we were comped our three night stay and this program needs an amount I think the cost is around $20 for full hookups. For a casino campground in the desert it is nice. Roomy sites. We usually get the top level pull through where you have someone behind you. The laundry room is OK. Not the best for sure. We usually don't spend much time in the motorhome when we are here. For the convenient location and the nice sites we keep coming back. The shuttle to the casino is great.
Large pull through sites. Paved. Big sites. Well maintained. Enclosed dog run. Nice staff. Nice little park area. Equips for kids. Close to river walk and Alamo. Commissary and exchange were really nice. We stayed 4 nights. You do hear the train but it didn't bother us. Earplugs help. We would definitely stay here again. It is a military facility so not available to everyone.
We stayed four nights. It is about 30 min from town. Not the easiest to get to. That said it is really nice. New park. Still some work left to do. Wide sites with double cement pads. Lots of space between sites. Host was fantastic. Close to base facilities. We took the Algiers point ferry into New Orleans. It is free. Parking right next to the ferry is $5 all day. This is a military facility so not available to everyone.
Big wide not so level spots. They were all concrete which was nice. Be prepared for some leveling challenges. That being said the park was very clean and maintain well. Close to the battlefield. We stayed 5 nights. Train was close by but didn't bother us any. At $22 a night it was a good deal for full hookups. They had a shuttle to the casino. The casino itself was very nice. The buffet was really good. Would stay there again.
We stayed here 4 nights to see the sights in the area. We gave it an 8 for convenience. The park itself was clean with level sites, sorta tight sites. We had a back in on the fence to Graceland. It was nice to walk into Graceland and not worry about parking. It was centrally located for sight seeing in the area. We expected it to be pricey, it reflects Good Sam discount. It felt safe.
Stayed two nights while visiting relatives in Dallas. Very nice park. We had a back in that overlooked the lake. Very clean and well kept. Wish we could have spent more time at the campground. Can't beat the senior rate of $9 a night with full hookups. We will definitely be back. Nicest one in the area. Very quiet.
We stayed here as a one nighter on our way to and from our destination. It had big level sites. The staff was very friendly. It worked for us as a one nighter. Easy to get to. Rate reflects KOA member.
Stayed here one night as we were passing through. Called ahead to make sure they had room. Lady said no problem, our office closes at 4:30 so after that time you can self register. We pulled in at 5 and we were greeted by staff that led us to a site. Very friendly. Very clean and well kept. Desert campground that is very appealing. The staff was awesome. Will definitely be back. Rate shows Good Sam discount.
Very nice park that is only two years old. The facilities were excellent, well maintained and very clean. Restrooms and showers were immaculate as was the laundry room. Staff was very helpful and courteous. There is a shuttle to the casino although walking is not bad, unless the wind is blowing (cold). Our site was on the row closest to the bay (Coos Bay) with a nice, unobstructed view of the ships and barges coming and going. Close to towns of North Bend and Coos Bay. Very quiet.
Very nice state park campground. We did not have reservations so we were lucky to get in for two nights. Highly recommend reservations in the summer. Campsite was tucked into the trees, very cool and relaxing atmosphere. Paved trails to the beach (1/4 mile) and several paved bike trails in addition to the paved roads in the campground. This is a family campground so you need to expect young kids playing, running and biking, but they were never roudy or out of control. Close to Newport. Camp hosts and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come here again.
The staff was very friendly and exceptionally helpful, providing assistance to area attractions and restaurants which proved to be excellent. The directions to the park were excellent. Based on other reviews and Good Sam ratings we expected more. There are many full-timers, mostly in the sites around the back perimeter. The park management obviously takes an active position to make sure these sites are clear of junk, however many of the RV's are old and in need of exterior repair. I would not be comfortable being assigned a site next to most of these units for more than one night, and preferably not one. Some of the sites are not level, requiring either front or rear tires to be off the pavement when jacks were used. The park does allow specific sites to be requested when making reservations. Request 7-28 for best areas. The wi-fi was great and the cable TV was also, with a great deal of channels to choose from, not just the average 10-15 channels on cable. I would stay here again, requesting the stated sites.
