The park is clean. The management is nice. I couldn't give it high marks for two reasons. 1. The internet was non-existant. The only time I was able to use it was 5:00 am and then very briefly. Not a problem for me since I have wireless but if you rely on it you will be disappointed. 2. There appears to be large noisy groups that overwhelm some sites. Mostly they observe the quiet hours after 10:00 pm. But we did not have a quiet restful time when we were there. This isn't management's fault but it appeared to be a fact of life while we were there.
The ground was covered with snow so I really can't comment on how clean the park was. Also, the water lines were frozen so we had to use our own water. The Wi-Fi was good though. The staff was very friendly.
The staff was very nice and helpful, BUT the park is right on a major highway. There was lots of traffic noise. But if you run your A/C at night sleeping isn't a problem. Plus it's really close to the city.
We were happy with our site. The map getting to the site was a bit hard to follow. It was really close to the park which was very nice. The only complaint I have is that the Internet wasn't great. I felt like $45 a night was expensive and we should have great Internet.
This park is a parking lot with full hook ups. It doesn't have any thing else. And the internet did not work in our fifth wheel, but I like the park fine. It's easy to get in to, there are trees to park under and the people who check you in at the Thunderbird Best Western across the street are really nice. I would stay there again.
Beautiful, well run park. The sites are big and easy to get to. The ruins are really interesting and the rangers are very helpful. And there is the best Mexican restaurant near the airport- E&O Family Restaurant.
Absolutely beautiful! We had a site right on the water and the view was breathtaking! The only thing to know is that once you're in the park the first campground sign is for tent camping. Keep following the road to the electric sites.
What a find! We had a great site on the lake. It was quiet and beautiful. It is a challenge getting in the park though. First of all-call the park so you can find the correct entrance. Then there was the actual entrance. Very tight with a sharp tight bend in the drive. We were told that many people come in the exit.
This is our fourth time in this park. We love the prairie and the solitude. We always stay in the equestrian sites. Make sure to do all your shopping before you arrive. The closest grocery store is a long way away.
The price is the senior rate. The park is tight but very nice. It's very close to the city. I was bit bit concerned about safety but we had no trouble. You can't reserve a site. Make sure to ask about the check in procedure when you go. We had to choose a site then go to the office.
This is a great park. The sites are new, clean and level. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that the signage isn't good. It's very hilly and the parking area for check in isn't clear. DO NOT DRIVE TO OFFICE! Turn in to area near dump station. It's very hilly and if you attempt to go up to the office you will get in trouble!
What a wonderful discovery! We have never been in a LA state park before. The park is beautiful and quiet. The most impressive was the ranger. He saw us come in and followed us to our site. He told us that it was really too tight and led us to an easier access prettier site.
The good things about this park is that it's quiet, lots of space between sites, and it has a beautiful view. The bad thing about this park is that they didn't appear to have anyone cleaning sites after campers left. We had bottle caps, cigarette butts, and debris on the site. It didn't take a long time to clean it but it wasn't appealing.
Beautiful park! The people that work there are wonderful! All the sites are level with plenty of room between neighbors. Great walking trails. Don't be alarmed if you drive in from the west. Williston isn't a very pretty town. You'll forget all about it when you get to the park.
Beautiful park! Very friendly in the office. Sites are great and level. The only thing to note is that there is a limit to how much you can upload and download on their internet hotspot. No 3G, no AT&T service. They do have a signal booster for Verizon.
Big park, convenient to everything. Very friendly and efficient in the office. Site was great, water pressure good, great Wi-Fi. You are pretty close to a fairly busy highway so you can hear some noise at night.
We stayed for one night. Great water pressure, electric and good laundry. Internet wasn't great. Campground is between the railroad and highway-a bit noisy. The town doesn't appear to have a leash law for dogs. Be careful where you walk!
The campground was easy to find and easy to get in to. We had a problem with the breaker on the electrical post. No one was at check in and no one was at either host spot (it was 2:00 in the afternoon). We went to another spot and resolved it the next day. Also no 3G or cell phone. But the park was great.
The park is fine, but a bit expensive for us. Also they were very restrictive about guests. The only way our daughter could visit was if she left a $25 deposit at the desk and would stay less than an hour. But the location was good for us.
Great campground. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Sites were level. The only note of caution-be sure to follow the signs to the park. There is a closed road that a gps might mis-direct you to take.
This is the second time we've been here since they have renovated the Pine campground. It is beautiful! The sites are spacious and level. Everyone was very friendly. The river tour was great. I made a mistake and took a site near the highway. They were great about switching me to a quieter site.
We lucked out! They just renovated the park and opened early so we got a site! They now have full hook up. The park is wonderful! The only challenge is getting a reservation. We are going back if we can get a site.
Pros-clean, nice landscaping, good staff. Cons- very small sites and major traffic noise. I would only recommend this park for someone who sleeps very soundly. I had a terrible time there. I would never go back!
Positives about park, very friendly staff in both campground and lodge. Bathrooms were very clean. Negatives, no signs or map to find sites. Right now they are doing construction. The dump site is very difficult (almost impossible) to get to.
Very nice park. They took good care of us. The sites are close together, but we never felt crowded. The laundry is great! The only problem we had was the noise from the trains in town. They run all night long! The highway proximity didn't present any problems.
What a wonderful experience! The staff (owners?) were friendly and very helpful. The park was clean and well maintained. Laundry room was very clean. And the Wi-Fi worked better than our house! I would go back any time. They take Passport America.
