Park was very clean just like other COE parks we've stayed in. Not much grass on our side of park but I believe it was from Spring flooding as the park was closed in June due to flooding. The vault toilet facilities were clean. We did not use the shower house which was in the other loop. Sites are well spaced but no vegetation in between so you can easily see from one end of the loop to the other. The site we had was about 75 feet deep so plenty of room for big rigs. No water or sewer at the sites but there are water spigots scattered around the loop and a dump station at the entrance. Right on the Mississippi River boat landings in the park as well. Our price reflects my Access Pass discount.
Easy to get to from the interstate. Was very close to the freeway and freeway traffic noise but after a while you don't notice it anymore. Sites were level and easy to pull into. Sites are not quite as close as some other KOAs but still close together. Showers were very clean and were put in last winter. Pool was clean and refreshing. Truck stops nearby to fuel up when leaving. WiFi worked pretty good at times before slowing down to where it was unusable. We used this as a base camp while here. We would probably stay here again if in the area.
Was easy to get to from the interstate. Once in the campground the roads are very dusty and the dust covered everything when a vehicle or even the staffs golf carts went by. Kid friendly with a jumping pillow and nice pool. Showers and bathrooms were clean. They say they have wifi but you couldn't tell because it never worked at our site. There is a race track nearby that was loud along with the truck traffic in the area. Also train traffic close by. We stayed here as it is easy to get to St. Louis. The sites are very close and should be priced lower than what they are. Not many other places to stay. We would probably not stay here again at the price we paid this time.
Our site was river front below the dam. Park and campground were very clean. The sites are well spaced with grass between them. Sites have concrete pads that are wide, deep and easy to back into. Also had a picnic table and fire pit at each site. Each campground had a fish cleaning station and clean restrooms and showers. Staff was friendly at check in and at the visitors center. There is a gorge that was washed out after two floods that is full of fossils. We enjoyed roaming through the gorge. We would definitely stay here again.
Easy to get to and nice looking park. There are miles of hiking and biking trails. Roads are blacktop but have to watch for low hanging trees. We stayed in the Cliffwood Campground. Sites are deep, level and well spaced. Lots of vegetation between our site and adjacent sites. Did not use the restrooms. The dump station was easy to get in and out of with one dump site and one fresh water fill point. Did not use the beach but there is one and boat and kayak rentals. Hiking trails were well maintained. Would have rated higher but had to watch for low branches go to campsite and again leaving.
Very nice campground for dry camping. Has hand pumps for water and pit toilets. Fresh water, and dump station, also available at Castle Mound Campground about 10 miles away. Small pond here with a well maintained picnic area and newer playground equipment for the kids. Kids can also swim in the pond though no lifeguard. Hiking and biking trails at park as well. Firewood available that was dry and only $3 a rack. Some sites are reservable, Reserve America, and some are for walk ups. Was full when we were here Memorial Day weekend. Would definitely stay here again.
I was a little concerned to learn that I reserved one half of a double site that wasn't listed as such on the website but after arriving the site worked out for us. We were right on the Mississippi River. Had to chase away some geese when we arrived to set up. The park is very well maintained and free of litter. The showers were very clean and cleaned every morning we were there. The dump station, with fresh water, is along the road before you get to the gate and looked fairly new. It allowed for easy in and easy out. Small child's playground in our loop and a pit toilet which we didn't use. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Boondocking only sites. Water and dump station at the entrance. Shower house is cleaned daily and the pit toilets are mopped daily. Paved roads and nearby paved bike trails. Kids enjoy the nature center. Budget cuts are limiting the hours and programs at the nature center. We see the park rangers driving through often during the day and night. We stay here for a week every summer. Sites get reserved fast 11 months in advance.
Campground is clean with well spaced sites. Paved roads and kid friendly with a playground, skate park, mini-golf and kiddie pool. The other pool is kind of small compared to other campgrounds we've been to. Concession stand at the pool area. Restrooms were very clean with pay showers. We used the shower in the RV because of that. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed for three nights.
