Nice family-oriented park with free WiFi. Sites are not paved, but we had no dust problem due to the nicely cared-for grounds. The staff was friendly and I saw one wiping my RV clean after he accidentally sprayed water on the side if it. This was something I would not have noticed had he failed to clean it. This speaks of integrity within their staffing ranks and also rates highly in my book. We used the resort as a staging ground for day trips to Solvang.
This is the standard we use to rate other resorts. The area is well appointed with a kid-friendly pool and the store and cafe are nice as well. We commenced our day at the cafe and then waited for the shuttle to take us to the strip for sightseeing. We do not tow a dinghy, so the reasonably priced shuttle made our stay very convenient. The resort was very clean and the sites allowed for slides without a problem. If only the WiFi were free...
Managed by the County of San Bernardino, we found this rustic spot a great side trip on our way back South on the I-15 from a Vegas visit. A visit to the ghost town was enjoyed by the family and despite the heat, the place has a pleasant charm. The Ranger visited all sites in the evening and was a great conversationalist. He was very friendly and offered valuable information on the area. We enjoyed one of the most precious night skies a city-slicker will never experience.
We found the resort very attractive with well maintained landscaping. Nice restaurants nearby and the playground at the marina park was adequate and close enough to compensate for the lack of playground in the resort. My seven-year-old loved the pool and I found the resort staff cordial. We plan on being repeat customers.
